Hello everyone!

Are you stuck for content ideas for your blog post or website pages?

In this article I've listed some free tools you can use that may help you come up with more content ideas related to your niche or website. This is all research based but it should help you write a list of anything you’ve found to be valuable, giving you more content ideas.

  1. Jaaxy.com

Even though Jaaxy is great to use to search for popular keywords, you could also see if there are any popular keywords you may want to base your content on. Jaaxy allows up to 30 searches a day during free membership and unlimited searches when you sign up to Wealthy Affiliate as a premium member. When using Jaaxy to search, it doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s easy to niche your content down if you’re struggling to focus on more niche subjects by using Jaaxy!

I’m using the premium membership, so I will have more search results displayed than a free membership which you will see here. However, even with free membership you should still get to view a lot of topics and don’t forget you get your free 30 searches.

So for this example, I’m going to use a broad subject first and let Jaaxy help me get more niche ideas! So along with doing your keyword research, you could kill two birds with one stone and also use it to come up with content ideas.

Just from typing in the word ‘Candles’ , Jaaxy has given me a lot of popular keywords I could use as a base for content ideas. You can take this further by checking the Traffic and QSR Rating of a keyword, The traffic is how many people are expected to view your site using these keywords and the QSR is how many competing websites there are using these keywords.

I’ve got plenty of keywords just from typing ‘Candles’ in alone, however here’s a screenshot of 9 keywords Jaaxy has given me.

As you can see , it’s come up with other topics related to candles such as ‘Wedding Candles, Floating Candles, Candle Scents’ and so on. These are all great ideas for content based on your niche! I’ve clicked get QSR to show you some of the competing results for this example and ‘Wedding cake candles’ would be one great example to use as the competition isn’t very high, as the QSR rate was showing just 91, meaning there are 91 competing websites.

Through keyword research and checking the QSR, You can find even less competing websites if that’s your goal. However, these are all valid content ideas even if you’re not too worried about the QSR rating.

If you have a WA Membership (Free or Paid) then you can use Jaaxy by clicking on the ‘Research’ tab and then the Jaaxy search bar will come up for you to enter a keyword.

2. AnswerThePublic.com

Do you want to know what questions people are asking about your product or niche?

Thats why I wanted to show you this other free resource you can use to help you come up with content ideas. Answer The Public is a visual keyword research and content ideas tool, which pulls results of popular questions being asked based on whatever topic you decide to search for.

Helping someone solve a problem will show your audience that you care about them and genuinely want to help them. Answering questions shows that you have knowledge in your field and can help you gain more followers and trust. You can easily find questions the public have been asking through this platform and if you have the knowledge or are willing to research, Answer them! This will give you plentiful questions you can use to publish an article on.

Again, I am going to be using ‘Candles’ as my example. I’ve just typed in ‘Candles’ on Answer The Public and click 'Get Questions'. Answer the Public has generated 200 questions based on the topic ‘Candles’ alone.

Above is an example of what it looks like once you've entered your subject into Answer the Public.

An example question generated from this search would be ‘Where are candles made’. You could then write content based on the subject of 'Where candles are made' and answer this question within an article.

Once you’ve retrieved your results, you can then save the image to your computer and zoom in and out to read the questions better and you can use this for future reference. If you already know any of these answers it is easy work, but doing research never hurt either way.

You can use Answer the Public for free however, there is a limited amount of searches you can preform per day unless you sign up to their Pro version.

3. Buzzsumo.com

Buzzsumo is a great tool to ‘Use our content insights to generate ideas, create high-performing content, monitor your performance and identify influencers.’ -As described on their website.

You can see the top trending articles and influencers related to your niche and use this to base ideas for creating your own content.

For one last time I’m going to search for ‘Candles’ as an example. Using the free version, it has generated 5 trending articles related to the subject of Candles. Some may not be relevant or you may want to steer away frombut this is a great way to get ideas and see what’s trending!

Buzzsumo also tells you how well the artlcle is trending through social media platforms and how much engagement it reached.

Buzzsumo also has a free option which is limited to searches per day versus its pro option which gives you more searches and other features.

All of the tools mentioned above are free websites you can visit online.

I hope this helps you come up with content ideas for your blog and even helped a little if you’re suffering writers block! I’d love to know your thoughts on this post and if you found it useful.

Best,

Takara

Thank you Takara. What a great post. I just typed my niche into AnswerThePublic and received nearly 400 unique questions - that's more than enough for a blog a day! I better get writing then.
