What Do You Mean, I'm Not Eligible?

So.... I'm really excited about getting envolved in affiliate programs, right? This is where the money happens! Sweeeet! Here I go.

Clickbank? Got it! Link share? Piece a cake! Shareasale? Commission Junction? Check and check!

Amazon? Noooooooo!

This is the message I see!

An Error Occurred Residents of MO are not eligible to participate in the Associates program.

  • Location error: your stae or zip code is either incorrect or is located in an ineligible state

I think my heart is broken. I'm not sure if Amazon knows that I have been a loyal costumer for years! Seriously! If they had a "frequent buyers club", I would be one of their top members! I'm not very happy right now. There's got to be a solution! I guess I could "trash talk" Amazon on my sites?! No. No. No.! That's not ethical, nor very businesslike. My only choice is to suck it up, and move on! Farewell, Amazon. I will succeed without you!

Susie

P.S. I'll probably still shop at Amazon. (Through your websites!)

There are many discussions here at WA, I actually created one myself a little while back.

Amazon doesn't accept my state/country, now what?

I personally would not be concerned one bit, there are so many alternatives to Amazon and in my opinion, much better affiliate programs out there. :)

Thanks Kyle.

Hey Susie
Many of my clients in various US states have the same problem- but wipe away your tears as there is a workaround

Easier to send you a link to a post which explains it

Hope that helps make that last part of your weekend that bit better

Thanks Paul, I'll definitely check it out

I doubt it is Amazon's choice. It's probably because of your state law or something like that. I'd do more research into it. Luckily there are plenty of other affiliate programs out there.

It has to do with tax legislation in MO. I'm over it now. It was just the initial rejection. Lol I took it a bit to personal.

I'd send a postcard to your local representatives. Sounds like they have a stick in their but for IM. ;)

My thoughts exactly. Thanks
