That old feeling
I have been dabbling for the past 11 years, off and on, in some kind of internet marketing thing. I bought into one "get rich quick" money making scheme after another like a lot of you here at WA.
I can vividly remember how on fire I was and motivated I was, spending countless hours of my free time searching for that "diamond in the rough" to help me be free from my daily brick and mortar job.
I remember the feeling I had, and the desire I had searching for this great way to make money from home. I was one of those that had the mindset that it was easy and I would not have to spend much of my time to make it work.
Of course, I soon realized that Internet Marketing is just like any other self-employed job. It's a business! It's your business! And when you are trying to start your own business, if you want it to be successful, YOU have to put a lot of your time, effort, money (blood, sweat and tears) into your business to make it work.
When I finally found WA, I was on fire and ready to learn how to make my business successful. I was moving along well, (I got through the first 3 courses of Boot Camp, and then I went to school for real estate. This took a lot of my free time and WA went on the back burner.
I eventually passed my real estate class, and have become very successful in my real estate business for my first year. I have put a lot of my time, effort, money, (blood, sweat and tears) into this business to make it work.
Now that sales have slowed down a bit, I want to get back into my Internet Marketing business. I have the desire to be successful in this but I feel like I've lost where I left off. I've forgotten that feeling I had before when I was really on fire. I want to know how to get it back!
I have many ideas of sites I wanna build. But if you could see how those ideas look in my head, it's a 5,000 piece jigsaw puzzle.
I am a prime example that you have to put forth time each day towards making this business (or any business) work. If you don't, you could end up like me and fizzle out, looking for that one thing that will light a fire under your butt and get it in gear. I'm finally making an effort to do that.
I keep telling myself everyday, as long as I have been a member on WA, if I had done everything daily, I could be one of the top ranking members and making lots of money. So, even though I'm a seasoned member, I feel like I'm starting from scratch. I am becoming more and more motivated to make this work.
This was more of a venting blog than anything else. But I also hope it encourages anyone that has lost their fire and decides to ignite it and get motivated.

Susanna, In an internet business like this, you are excited full of things that you can foresee happening to you. Then you hit a slump, like in baseball you can't get a hit. But you never give in or give up, because just on hit will turn it all around for you. For myself I have to write everyday why because my passion is to help people. When I can inspire or motivate someone because of a comment that I've shared with them, I feel like I've accomplished a good days work here at WA. Keep swing your bat and get that next hit that will turn it all around for you.
