A Bit About Me

I am a 22-year-old Muslim who was born and raised in a Latin country, to preserve our culture and customs, all arab muslims live in community.

For those who don't know, Muslim parents have very peculiar rules. One of those being, women are not allowed to work (well at least in my family).

So from a very young age, I knew I wanted to have my own business to help those who are in the same position or similar as mine.

Overwhelmed

I knew I wanted my own business but I was clueless so I started researching ways to make money online and even took many online courses.

However, there was always something missing and for some reason I just couldn't put my finger on it (or that's what I thought).

Gurus made it seem easy, when I tried easy and it didn't work out I would drop things half-way and end up disappointed.

I was so overwhelmed by so much information and lies that I started doubting whether I could actually make money online.

With time I understood that having an online business is also hard work. You have to work consistently, give it time and dedication but most importantly know that success doesn't happen overnight.

Don't go into a business having the wrong mindset, before selling, try helping!

Taking Control

I had wanted to start a blog for the longest time but I never got around doing what it took.

Yes, there is a lot that goes into starting a website but I decided to take control.

I started by posting 1 article a week, at first it seemed like I was making no progress but as time went on what was an article become 2 and what were 2 articles became 3.

Take control and responsibility of your life, these few weeks have really taught me how valuable time is and how you shouldn't waste it.

My Advice

One of my favorite quotes by Zig Ziglar is "You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great."

When I was younger, I was a perfectionist so much that if I knew that things wouldn't turn out perfect in the first place I wouldn't even bother starting them.

My dad of course noticed but it wasn't until I was in my senior year that he sat me down and told me that to be able to be the best I had to start, it didn't matter if at the beginning I wasn't.

My advice to you is to reflect on what your goals, what you want to achieve are and just start!

I am still learning but if you have any questions or need any help, you can always reach out!

Great message!

Your dad gave you very good advice. Another good quote is that "you haven't failed until you quit." I'm a newbie too. Welcome!

That's a very good advice and welcome as well!

Very inspirational! Thank you, Sulssa!! :)

Thank you, I hope this helps those who were in the same position as me!

I am very familiar with Arab Culture being there for many years.

Really? I would love to read more about it!
