As most of you know, ChrystopherJ posts weekly social media marketing ideas. While some are a little strange, they can still be fun to tie into your blog. I mean who doesn't like some humor. In case you missed this week:

I don't know WHO makes these things up but Chystopher and I have noticed that there can be more than one "event" (for lack of a better term) happening on any given day. For example, Monday, Sept 14 is Marketing Monday on Chrystopher's blog but according to a Woman's magazine article I just read, Mon is I'm On Top of It Today. Both are pretty good and easily applicable based on what we do.

Basically the article says that no matter what you have to do, it's all about that feeling that you get when you've accomplished what you've set out to do. I can see that. I know when I have a list for the day and I check everything off, it feels really good! I feel productive.

It goes on to say that to get motivated, you should tell yourself "I am disciplined and I've got this" Researchers said that those that were more successful believed that they had the willpower and it encouraged them to be more disciplined to accomplish the tasks

So, how do I translate this? It's all about self talk. If you BELIEVE in yourself, you're more apt to be motivated to do what it takes to get the job done. Then relish that feeling of accomplishment.

Tuesday, Sept 15 was Cheese Toast Day (same as Chrystophers). Hmmm, I like cheese toast and it requires very little time in the kitchen. YAY. In case you don't know me well, I have a kitchen because it came with my house. I hate to cook.
