Changing the colour of the text is done with the little "A" icon on the menu bar where you write your posts. (if you can't see the little "A" icon press the very last button on the menu, you should be able to see it then)

For changing text size, if you want to change the text size of an entire sentence, you can use the drop down menu where it "Paragraph" and select one of the heading options. This will change the size of your text. There are 6 options, pick whichever is appropriate.

If you want to change the size of just one word... I think you may need to delve into using html code... not sure...

If you mean throughout your site that's theme dependent on whether you need to code this in CSS or if a theme such as PageLines http://wordpress.org/themes/pagelines offers it as an "option" in a list.
