Doubt
I joined WA in December of 2015 but only started completing the lessons and their affiliated tasks recently and this was all due to doubt. The following thoughts would be rolling around in my mind: Can I do this? Can I create interesting content? Who would want to read what I have to write? What will I write? These and many more thoughts were running around in my head and led me to doubt. So, I would always find something else to do, such as: reading, playing video games, watching TV, etc.
It's funny, but watching a TV program (American Masters - Carole King) got me started on completing the lessons and tasks. Carole King said something to the effect, "don't let yourself or anyone else stop you but let the public speak" and this resonated with me. Furthermore, how will I ever know if I can or can't do this if I don't try.
By the way, I'm finding the lessons and tasks interesting and the people on this site are very helpful.

Some may have doubt, because they don't want to fail. They just need to bite the bullet and take the lessons. But as soon as you start they will find that it's very well explained with step-by-step process. If they do encounter problems they have the community to assist anyway they can.
Yes I think we have all had our doubts. You won't get far in any arena of life if you let doubt get in your way. Shake it off, shake it off.!

Yes, I find that you get to know who in the community is good at certain things. That way you have a mental list of who to ask different types of questions. It feels less daunting when you know you can ask someone who is knowledgeable and will help.
