Facebook Paid Promotion Success

I had troubles getting enough page likes and a following on Facebook. My wife is active on Twitter and I am actively writing good content for the site. We get organic traffic but we wanted to create a community that could help in creating the engagement on the site.

That's why we started to use some money to get more page likes on Facebook. Not just some page likes for 5 bucks at fiverr, because that wouldn't make much sense. It is not the page likes that is important in this, but the engaging community you create. That's why we wanted to have people liking that actually like cats.

The Facebook campaign is configured in such a way that it includes certain countries for our target demographic group that are interested in cats. In the past 60 days we got quite the page likes and follows and are getting a more engaged public. It's great for getting more comments on our site and facebook page and it is an opportunity for us to build an online community around our website.

It is a small success. At 1000 page likes we will have a picture competition which will be featured on our Facebook page and our website.

That's brilliant. This is something I will look into doing once I have more content on my actual site. Keep up the good work

that is probably a good idea, but the Facebook page had not that much to do with the content on my site. I tried to build a community on Facebook so that I have an audience to interact with. There we posted stuff we found on Facebook and on the internet and we from time to time put in our own written posts.
We try to get people to interact with the content, at least through the page. It would be even better if we could get the Facebook people to go to our website and leave a comment. So far only a couple have done so.

Hi, Steven

It's pretty good 6 664 persons reached and 662 likes for about $40, I won't mind paying this amount for the same result in 2 months.

I agree with you buying Likes on Fiverr is like buying air, it doesn't add any value to your business.

It's better to do as you did, at least you know your audience better and if you decide to sell something later, peoples will more likely to trust you.

It's very interesting what you did, I watched some videos about this method, however, I've never applied it yet.

A lot of "pros" suggested running an add for $5 per day and keep it running for 15 days then stop. Then run it again something like a week later. The suggested doing so for at least 3 months, it's something I'm very interested to try.

What do you think?

Would be great if you can put up a step by step training on how you did it.

Wish you the best to your wife and you.

Calvin

I will see if I can put some time in creating a tutorial, although I feel it wasn't that hard to do so. Nonetheless what isn't hard for me to do, can be difficult for another, so I see your point in that I should create some tutorial or video.

perhaps I should take your advice on the interval stuff. I have been running this ad for two months, so maybe I should stop it soon and let it run again a bit later. Was thinking to reach a 1000 followers & likes first, before I do so though.

Yes, a training would be great for a lot of beginner and people who don't know how to do it, I include, Lol.

I remembered I watch few videos who give this advice to pause your add and run it again later, I haven't tried myself yet honestly, however, I think it makes sense.

With an online business, we need to test and test again. And again, unfortunately, is one of the best ways to learn.

Perhaps you can also run an A/B testing and see which results are the best. You have to pay double, unfortunately, if the amount of money you need to spend is still affordable, it's maybe a good solution.

This is a very interesting subject, looking forward to learning more about your improvements in the near future.

Picture competition is a good idea. People LOVE showing pics and talking about their pets (cats in your case).
Have fun with that!

yeah that is a great idea. Thanks.

Hey Steven,
Thanks for the update. This sounds so interesting!!!

Tried and True

Elaine

It's great fun, but am happy that my wife joins me in this all. I don't think I would have been able to spend so much time on social media if it was just me here.

Facebook is good for getting engagement

true but I hope they will engage on my site. I have the feeling with social media, that engagement stays within the social media platform you are on.

Glad it's working for you!

Good job Steven!

Encouraging success story.

Nice. Congratulations.

Keep up the good work.
Stuart

thanks, will do. You too!
