So Far So Good
I'm coming to the end of my level 2 Certification Course and one of the tasks in Lesson 10 is to let you know update you on my progress so far. So here it goes!
Today I am entering into my 4th week on WA and am really enjoying the process very much. I'm not only enjoying my successes (as this type of thing is all new to me), but I'm also enjoying breaking through the frustration of being stuck in a certain area of the process and learning a lot of new cool stuff because of it.
I have established my first website at http://judaicachoicesandsolutions.com. In the process of doing that I have experimented with several different WP themes that I was interested and came up with one that looks to have a ton of potential. I have also set up about 7 affiliate accounts with niche related businesses including amazon.com.
One of my initial goals was to be involved in the community here and make it into the top 500 within my first couple of weeks. That happened during week 2 and my rank is now 296. I'm hoping to get into the top 200 by mid February.
I'm really looking forward to the next level of Certification, where I'll actually be able to set up my affilitate banners on my website and begin earning revenue.
I want to thank the many people in this great WA community for all the help and encouragement many of you have given me. You guys are the best! Thanks

Well dome Steve, you're doing great so far, keep it up. Like your site, but not sure about your home page, think it could do with some information for visitors as to what your site is all about and how it can help them.
Hi Steve, It's your actual home page, the one with the large graphic.
It's only a suggestion, but I think you could improve your actual home page by reducing the size of the the graphic, using as it as a feature and using the Judaica Choices & Solutions page content as an introduction to your site and what Judaica is.
This, I think would keep your visitors more interested than being faced with a home page that tells them nothing about your site, but it;s your site Steve, go with whatever you feel comfortable with.
I'm still learning the theme I chose. I don't know how or if I can shrink the graphic on that home page because it's a slider (I'll be upgrading it to Pro and adding slider pages to it). I'm using the Optimizer theme. If you have an insight to it I'd appreciate your input Harry. Thanks for your response.
Hi Steve, see image below of your home page graphic reduced to 1096x290px, 641kb. Don't know if it's any good to you, or it may need reducing or increasing further if it is.
Thanks Harry. I just don't know how to do that. Do I need to go to my customization page or to the image itself? Thanks.
Hi Steve, first you would have to save the image to your pc. If you have an option to customize and change the header image in your theme click on that and follow the instructions. In the meantime I'll take a look at your theme.
