No Man Is An Island!
As I'm sure you're aware. the profound quote that I've used as the title for this blog did not originate with me, but it's true. People need each other. We are not designed to live in isolation. In fact living in isolation is not only lonely, it's unhealthy. People who isolate themselves from others do not thrive.
Why am I saying this? Because people need to be around other people in order not only to survive, but to thrive, grow and succeed. Iron sharpens iron. We need other people around us to bounce ideas off of in order to learn from them (since none of us knows it all), to give and receive help from one another, and to share ideas that will benefit each other.
In other words, we all need community and the one here at WA is incredible. This is my 3rd week as a member here and I have met and received help from so many awesome people. I hit a wall yesterday and spent like 5 hours getting my website verified by Google Webmaster and figuring out how to get my sitemap working. I asked a lot of questions and received a lot of great tips and advice. In fact one of our colleagues here in the community spent over an hour helping me on Live Chat and through PM.
There are a lot of challenges to what we're all doing here. So when you get stuck (or like me feel like blowing up your computer when you feel like banging your head when something doesn't seem to want to work and take forever to figure out) ask questions. Get on Live Chat, go to the Questions tab, or PM someone you know has expertise in the area you need help with. There's a great sense of satisfaction when you succeed with the task and a great appreciation to those who helped you succeed.

I think it would be hard to find another community like this. So many fine people from all over the world that share common goals and are willing to help each other. Remarkable.
I am guilty of forgetting about live chat it is a good resource however it can also steal away your time with general stuff, I ought to pop in now and then, glad you are progressing, this is a very supportive community
Very true. It's kinda fun, the men are known to not ask for directions while traveling, but I've never been that kind of man. However, when it comes to computers, I tend to put my ears back (a reference to a horse when it gets stubborn & angry) and keep beating my head on the wall until I either figure it out, or quit and move on to something else. The times that I have asked questions here, I did receive very good help, so you'd think I'd learn from that...but it's a character flaw that I will have to keep working on. Keep Smiling!
