SWAG - one month in, some results

Last Update: March 04, 2018

I started my SWAGGER's website just before Kyle announced his plans. The website is findyourbusinessmentor.com and I have noticed some interesting things.

Thought I should share them. Three posts which have been INDEXED by Google are shown below with keyword search results and date published :

Average Traffic.. QSR... KQI.......Date Published.....INDEXED

64.............11.......61......great......19/2/18....................YES

735...... 125 ......454...... poor...... 7/2/18.................... YES

-10...... -10 .........4 ......great ......20/01/18.................. YES

and compared to these three posts at around the same times which have NOT BEEN INDEXED:

-10...... -10...... 8...... great............ 20/01/18............ NO

-10...... -10...... 2...... great............ 27/01/18 ............ NO

48...... 9 ...... 271...... normal ......... 18/01/18............ NO

-10...... -10...... 86...... great............ 18/01/18 ............ NO

(Sorry if the formatting is no good)

After looking at each post I can say that I have absolutely no idea why this would happen in this way.

Each post has several headings, several relevant images and each are helpful in their content.

In addition, not one of these posts were "Fetched" by me!

I am not overly worried at this stage and I will be monitoring these of course to see how long it takes to get them all indexed.

Does anyone else look at these types of issues, comments either way would be appreciated.

Yes, all of your comments are what I have come across. I don't always trust Google, I think they miss a lot sometimes :)!

When I look at my posts to see what has been indexed and what hasn't, I can't fathom why some have and some haven't. I have posts indexed within hours, and others that might take 3 weeks?! And then I'll get a batch of 5 that are indexed all at once. I don't get it.
It doesn't seem to relate to the length of post, or amount of images. I can't work out what it is!!! I've always wanted to know!
And I do google fetch every single post out of habit.
It has me wondering too :)

In this case I had verified the http:// version of the site but not the https:// version. Now I have verified the https:// and requested indexing I am hoping the result will be much better.

But it seems that Google does miss posts, as per Loes comment below, and therefore I think I will make it a habit to Fetch every post.

There is still some mystery as publishing from site content was using https:// and the posts were being indexed according to Site content even though it was not verified.

Thanks fr your comment

I always use fetch in Google and Bing on every post. It seems to be working as they have all been indexed bar the last one I wrote for the challenge.
I might submit it again if it’s not indexed in the next few days.
With Grace and Gratitude

Now that I have resolved the issue I think I will too be fetching every post as you mention.

Thanks for your help.

I do see that Google is skipping posts, so I took on the habit to fetch every new post

Hi Loes,

Interesting that Google misses posts, thanks for telling me.

My main issue appeared to be that I verified http:// and not https://, I just had not seen that distinction especially as Site Content was telling me that these posts were indexed to a site (https://) which was not verified at the time (it is now though)

Thanks for your help
