If a person offers a service (carpentry, plumbing, etc.), can that be marketed using affiliate marketing?
I was wondering how to structure affiliate marketing such that a link from an individual's website could be tracked.
IF the specific service was performed, then the amount of compensation would correspond to the size of the service performed.
For example, "wiring a garage" would be different from "upgrading service to a house". So would there be a way to create an a affiliate marketing program which would enable businesses to expand while compensating individuals who drove traffic to those service sites.

I've heard of people contacting local businesses that deal with plumbing, carpentry, etc and then they would discuss a payment structure for generating leads to their business through your internet marketing efforts (could definitely do SEO for them!)
I have no personal experience with that, but I feel like that'd be the way to go to promote services. Have them pay you monthly for monthly visitors, and I think that it would be a lot easier to rank for a keyword in a local city for a service as well!
Your suggestion for monthly visitors would definitely help local businesses. This is slightly different from my thought regarding how a business might expand their revenue. Sharing a part of the profit of a completed service project for which a visitor had contacted is what my original thought was.
I'm sure you could discuss those payment plans with a business owner...you could ask for 20% of 15% of the price after getting the customer to purchase?
As they are the owner, I'm sure that they'd be able to do that!
