Do you know what your core really is and what it does?
Your core is a complex series of muscles, extending far beond Your abs, including everything apart from Your arms and legs. It is used for almost every movement of the human body.
These muscles can act as an isometric or dynamic stabiliser for movement, transfer force from one extremity to another or initiate movement itself.
In this blog I'm gonna tell you how you become a functional strong human, as apposed to being another rant on overated chiselled abs. your core often works as a stabiliser and force tansfer centre rather than prime mover. Yet people consistantly focus on training their core as a prime mover and in isolation, I.e doing crunches or back extentions verses functional movement's like deadlifts, or overhead squats, and pushups. By training that way, not only are you missing out on a major function of the core, but also better strength gains, more efficient movement, and extra long health.
