Okay so some things we learn the hard way. But maybe I can save you a little bit of heartache. If you need google to remove old, outdated information you can use the link below. I know usually we are all talking about how to get google to index our site and find us, but sometimes we need google to take information down so we do not get punished for having duplicate content. If you decide to move an article from one of your sites to another site you will want to delete the article from the first site then put in a request to google to delete the old, outdated information from their listing using this link:

It will bring you to a page similar to the one shown below. You just click the radio button that is most relevant to your request. In this instance I used the "Web Search" button.

As you can see you can use this to also clear their cache of many different products. Once you select "Web Search", it will ask you what they can help you with. You just click the radio button that is most relevant to your problem. In this case I used "A piece of content I am concerned about has already been removed by the webmaster but still appears among the search results".

From there you are only a few clicks away from removing the old, outdated information. The next screen prompts you to enter the URL of the outdated content. I did this by simply copying and pasting from another window.

Once google has deleted the old listing then you will be able to re-post your article on your new site.
