Embracing Diversity
Let's Embrace Diversity
At Wealthy Affiliate, we have an amazing community of diversity and multiculturalism. We need to also remember that we are all the same on the inside and appreciate those who have different backgrounds, cultures, religions, languages, etc.
Understanding and embracing diversity ties communities together. Diversity is one of the fundamental assets in any community and Wealthy Affiliate is an example of such a community. The comprehension and embracing of diversity is about much more than learning tolerance and removing judgment or stereotyping. Diversity and inclusion in a world populated with so many differences is not just common sense decision, it is the foundation of our planet and the true spirit and essence of our development as a great community.
When communicating with others here at Wealthy Affiliate, we need to appreciate and respect our differences, because we all have the ability to teach others and open their minds to so much more than what is in their own world.
Equity and respect of human dignity are values that we need to always embrace here at Wealthy Affiliate and make it a remarkable place to be. The ability to produce great work, such as niche websites is based on who we really are and where we come from. This community of diverse web developers stems from our awareness of the true importance of the whole person and the significance of our uniqueness.
I challenge everyone here at WA to always embrace and promote diversity and inclusion for all. Creating a welcoming and diverse environment here at Wealthy Affiliate permits individuals to see their differences and similarities and be better able to relate to one another.

Excellent post and spot on from my perspective. One word missing from your graphic is "Thought" Diversity of thought is also a highly esteemed value, at least for me. Even when if I ultimately disagree with a particular thought, it is important that it be considered and evaluated with an open mind.
Hi Michael.....That is an excellent point. Thank you for being sure to remind us that our thoughts are as diverse as we are. I agree with you completely.
I've only noticed two types of differences between people.
1. Those that are insignificant.
2. Those imaginary ones that don't really exist.
Oh, you might say I'm different from those criminals and psychopathic mass murders. Maybe in actions you are, but the roots of those disorders lurk deep within all of us, so as they say, there but by the grace .....
Absolutely and this goes along with what I was saying in my post about not passing judgement too quickly and instead embrace that they are different and come from different backgrounds and need to respect that they are not always going to see things your way due to their diverse being.
That is an excellent analogy about criminals. Thank you!
You are so right. Learning for others, other cultures, and other viewpoints improve us personally and professionally. Online business has a way of bringing down walls that might exist in a brick and mortar business. I believe that is one of the reasons online businesses tend to be successful if you work at them. Great post.
That is for sure Ron. I think this lesson could also be applied to brick and mortar businesses too however, but yes, it can make building a business online much easier when some of those barriers are removed.
Hi Stevie!
I understand completely what you mean. Thank you for the kind words. I adore you as well.

Hi Steph, I love the fact that WA is so diverse. I like people, and it makes life so interesting here at WA We have so many creative people that are so diverse in all aspects of there life's that are here at WA...how great is that!
One of the reasons many of us are drawn to WA is that it is for everyone. Not just a certain group of people or learners, but for everyone, no matter where you are in your journey or what country you are from or what generation you are from or your age -- it is for everyone.
You are so right Stephanie. That is why WA's community is so special for so many of us. It helps to give us more courage & have the confidence to accomplish what we want in our life's no matter where we are from. Age can be a asset at any age...
Absolutely Linda.
Age can indeed be an asset. The older generation can help the younger generation by sharing their life experiences and lessons learned. And the younger generation can help the older with technology, computers, and everything which has shaped our society today. If we all work together by embracing our differences instead of turning away from those you are different, we will have gained much.
