Moving faster than I could have anticipated :
Just last week, I blogged that I'd completed Course-2, and was thinking of starting the Bootcamp.
Instead, I got side-tracked --- with posts, articles, social media accounts, building networks, adding new plug-ins, etc.
A small part of me is actually gnawed by the fact that, I can't seem to focus on the actual training. However, a bigger part of me recognizes the creator/developer in me; and, the moment something comes up which I know I can easily tackle, I jump into it right away.
For example: one of my followers blogged about social media accounts (something which I haven't yet bothered to examine, as I planned to do it all later). I took a look at the article, and the comments that followed. Setting up a Google+ account seemed easy, so I took 5 minutes to tackle it, before proceeding further.
However, the next thing I knew, I was :
(a) signing up with Google Analytics, Adsense, Bing, and Yahoo;
(b) the next day, I added Yandex and Pinterest
(c) even before I was done with those accounts, I installed social-media plug-ins for all my pages and posts
(d) I spent two days building my pages on Google+, Facebook, and Twitter
(e) two of those who commented on my Facebook page, wanted to know about budget travel in Central America. So, I went back to my website, and added more articles there.
(f) While I was posting these, I got bitten by the idea of : having an actual searchable database on my website. Not just a search tab (I have that already); but an actual database --- a way for visitors to access information which is stored there, information provided by previous visitors to my website.
And this last aspect is my new craze (lol). Bootcamp is on the back-burner, while I figure this out. Creating a form is easy enough with HTML. Getting the database itself seems to be a challenge, as my domain is hosted by WA.
But, the point is : I'm flying :=))))

You are FLYING! I also plug away at the training... but always end up working on blog or this that and the other in my site... having fun and learning! some day.. I will understand all the language! keep up the forward progress!
Thanks a bunch :=) You're definitely on the right track -- blogs and posts on your website are more vital.
It is all about balance and whilst we need to learn we also need to work on our sites to, well done I am plodding along with the bootcamp
Great to hear! It is easy to get side tracked by many things within WA. I made a decision a couple of weeks ago to ignore it all and concentrate on the bootcamp. That is why my ranking here is falling, but I have an end goal and will get that back up soon. So good to hear you are tackling these things to help boost your site. Good luck to your success
