My progress so far

Since I am about to move on to course 3 it’s about time I talked a little about my progress so far. I joined in April 2016 and since then although I have progressed, I haven’t progressed as quickly as I would have liked.

I found after a few months that I was struggling to write my content. I didn’t have much confidence in my writing and after a few attempts I lost motivation. I didn’t make any more progress until November. In November I decided that I had to push through. That if I wanted this, then I would need to keep moving no matter what.

I got back on my website, revised some of the videos and courses, and began writing content. I tried to get out of the habit of analysing everything I was doing and just getting it down. I spent about 3 weeks writing my first 4 pages which was hard going but worth it.

What I really like about the courses at WA is that they really push you on to create another post or create another page. I found that the more I write the easier it becomes. It’s the starting that’s the hardest part.

So here is where I am at now. I have a fully functional website, with unique content, 3 posts, 5 pages, and keywords for more posts. I finally feel like things are falling into place. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and helped through to get this far. I've met some great people here and I can't wait to progress further at WA.

Thanks again.

I think this is really cool, you're pushing yourself which means you're growing and getting better.

There are times when I'm writing and it feels like I'm pulling teeth out! But it really does flow quicker and easier with time.

It's also worth keeping in mind that video is a good option too, though normally successful YouTubers write scripts before making their videos...

Keep going mate, just wanted to encourage you. And DO let me know if there's anything I can help you with, I remember what the learning curve is like and I'm more than happy to help : )

Congratulations on making your progress. You're definitely not alone. A lot of people here struggle with getting their writing out. And you have definitely found the best way to overcome it. Just write more.

An additional strategy you might want to consider, is try writing a post every day or on whatever schedule works for you. I'm not saying post it, just write it. Save it on your computer. After a week or two come back and reread it. You can edit it and post it then or toss it depending on what you think of it.

Basically the idea is to speed up your writing interval without adding additional pressure on putting out quality content. You'll be amazed at how quickly this improves your ability to write content. Even if you don't write for your niche every day. Just writing regularly without being critical of what you're writing will help you make excellent progress.

Thanks for the advice and support. I just have to keep pushing on and it will get easier I'm sure. :)
