When you think about hypnotherapy, you might think of it first, some poor guy with problems. Lying on a couch telling about a the hard life he have. And it has to do with the fact that he might be used, or actually abused as a child. Because thats what most therapists in the past did. The interesting fact about some therapists today actually still act that way.

Ofcourse some problems can be solved by taking a person to their childhood past. That technique is called "regression". There are today better ways to take care of most problems. Some things like the 20 therapy or the quantum hypnosis or EV technique.

How effective is hypnotherapy? Today hypnosis takes 3-4 session and your problem is solved. The reason, at least in holland is because the techniques and hypnotists keep on learning and evolving.We will never stand still. And we work together, most psychiatrists still don't belive in hypnosis. We take knowledge of all different professions and combine them. We are no docters,well some of them are, but most of us are not. I happend to be a nurse but most hypnotists don't have medical knowledge.

We also prefer working when possible together with doctors,so they can see how it works. In my opinion it is better to work with each other then against each other. I think in general that is better anyway.
