Confession of a Procrastinator

"Hi....My name is Stephanie and I have been a slouch". Not quite a Success Post, but it leads to somewhat of one. I was being such a good little student and going through the lessons at a pretty good pace, then I hit a wall (okay, not really...I just lost my mojo for about a week). I would literally walk by my computer and feel a pang of guilt, but would find something else to do when I should have been working. Yesterday I walked into my office and sat down at my desk (It's really my kitchen and my desk is the table). I proceeded to log on to "get back at it". It was then that I realized that I was a little hungry so I got a few cookies out of the cabinet and sat back down at my" work station". My dog (who is a professional beggar) was under my chair in an instant, hoping to catch a crumb or two, but was not successful. Feeling sorry for the dog who looked quite defeated, I decided to play with him for a few minutes before getting busy so I reached for the tennis ball that was a few feet to the side of me on the floor. It must have been a little farther than I thought because I literally fell out of my chair. What a klutz! Nothing was broken, except my anticipated hope for concentration on a few WA lessons, but I took it as a sign to get my act back together. So I am going to do just that. Moral of the Story: Don't get distracted or you can make a fool of yourself. Thank you for 'hearing' my rather embarrassing confession :-).

Stephanie, you sound just like me sometimes :-) It's not embarrassing. Just the truth. I was guilty of the same procrastinating. Set your time aside for each task. I put time aside for comments, feedback, and time here connecting with people. The training is a must and should be at least 50% of your work schedule. Don't spend too much time "socializing". Not telling you what to do. I'm just giving advice as to what works for me.
Cheers! Rob

Thanks for your advice, Rob...and your encouraging words. I will continue to learn. I really like the 50% rule. I do well with that kind of direction...helps me focus. Have a great weekend.
