Goodbye Navy, Hello WA.

Today marks my 11 years and 7 months in the NAVY. And also my last day on Active Duty. It doesn't feel like my last day in the Navy. It feels like I am on leave. It hasn't hit me yet. I have been in since I was 19 years old, a kid with nothing but a backpack. Here at 30, I am married, 5 kids, 2 dogs, 2 houses, 2 cars and a 1 motorcycle. WOW!!!! How time flew.....

I would recommend the military for anyone who has any interest in going. It was a privilege and honor in serving. I spent most of my career in San Diego, CA as a Physical Therapy Assistant. I served overseas in Africa, Japan and Afghanistan. But my career doesn't stop here. I am heading into the Active Reserve once I can get all of my paperwork together. I had a lot of fun but just want more freedom in decision making.

What I will miss most about the Navy is the camaraderie. It looks like WA is a place where I can keep that going. I have been on here for about 5 days and already I feel the hospitality. This investment starts my new career in internet marketing. I believe I have always been good at writing so, here it goes......

Thanks for your service shipmate. Be aware you will have dreams about being in the Navy. I still have dreams about not having my uniform together for and inspection or missing watch and I've been out for over 10 years.

Wow, congrats on your retirement from the Navy. Good luck on your journey here.
