Staying positive

So, I recently posted that I have been on this site for a month now, and that I have learned a lot from the site as well as the community here at WA. I was getting a little discouraged because I wasn't getting any views on my site. But I looked at Google Analytics today, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that I have been getting some traffic. It has given me an added push to keep adding new content to my pages.

I do have a couple of questions, one being, is there a way to decipher who is viewing our pages on Analytics? What I mean is, can I separate myself from the other users, so I know that there are others looking at my site? Secondly, I have noticed on many of the sites on here, that when people post a blog, there is a paragraph or so, and then a link that is clicked and the remainder of the blog appears. It makes the page look so neat and organized. How do I set that up?

I will say this, I am not a huge social networking person, I have Facebook but I have no interest in all of the other social networking sites. Based on the video I saw about Facebook, Kyle mentioned that creating a page based on our websites, doesn't necessarily hurt, but at the same time, doesn't do that much good. So, if that is the case, why such a push to join all of these networks?
