So confused

As you can tell from my title, I am confused. I have my website up and running, but not getting much traffic. I've shared it with everyone and on everything I know. I must have patience, and continue to write good content.

With that said, I would like to start building two other websites. One would promote Wealthy Affiliate specifically and the other would be about teaching learning disabled children. I know so much about teaching learning disabilities, but not so much with Wealthy Affiliate. I think I want to do the Affiliate bootcamp. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have about what to call my Wealthy Affiliate site, and if the bootcamp is the correct place to get started.

Thank you all so much! I'm learning to ask questions, and that is a good thing for me.

Hi,having 2,3 sites up and running sounds easy but believe me it`s not,try to have atleast 50 posts on your site, make sure it does not need too much work before you start on another site.
l made a mistake of starting 3 sites almost at the same time, although l oustource alot,it`s still very hard work because all 3 sites need my attention.
Go slow, work on your present site.Boot camp is not going away.

Thank you

I see you only joined less than a month ago and have a website up and running already that's not bad going. Now you have the platform it's all about Key Word research. Any further pages you build should be based around keys words that meet very specific criteria. 100 and up searches per month and under 300 hundred competing sites ( even lower maybe 100 competing sites). If you can find key words and keep posting based around those keywords the visitors will come. :-)

Just keep asking questions. The community is right here!

Thank you. The community has been great to me. As far as only being here a month, my husband is a coach and I have a LOT of free time at home. In fact, he told me to find something to occupy my mind, and I did. He thinks I'm nuts for doing it, but I'm going to prove him wrong. LOL

Stacia...Marie (MHainsworth) offers some very good advice when she wrote "every website you take on has a lot work attached to it...The more thinly you spread your self the longer it will take to acquire traffic and sales."

What is your current website about? Are you comfortable with it? Since you know a great deal about teaching learning disable children (a subject near and dear to my heart!) you might want to spend your energies developing that site. It's easier to learn how to build a site when you are comfortable with the topic. Once you master the "ins" and "outs" of building a website, you then can transfer your newly acquired skills to building a site regarding a subject you may not know as much about.

Eventually, a website promoting WA is a GREAT idea as it will certainly help you generate referral income. However, before doing that, I would complete the WA bootcamp as there is valuable information contained within the course.

Whatever course of action you choose to take, best wishes for MUCH success!

Vince

Thank you all so much. I truly appreciate your time and comments. My current site is about Lupus which I have, but I need to start one about teaching disabilities also. I have time to work on two, so I think I will start there. I just don't want to fail at this. I'm sort of a perfectionist and patience isn't my best trait. lol

Stacia - patience is a virtue. Nobody can ever place a time frame on when you'll see an increase in traffic or even start making money because there are simply too many variables involved. Having said this and from my own experience, I'm thinking that if you haven't seen a payout by month six, then you're doing something wrong ... or not doing enough of something right.

Keywords, KW placement, blog length, images, social media, email ... it all adds up in the end.

I do think that getting to work on the affiliate bootcamp is a good idea. Many folks have had success with it.

Hope this info helps put your mind at ease and God Bless!

Hi Stacia, that has always been my problem, asking questions. Always think I will just carry on and solve it myself , but why when we have so much support from these great people at WA. Wishing you well.

Hi Stacia I would go through the bootcamp training. I found that I learned a lot there and also that promoting WA is the best way to help people. This place is so full of knowledge that everyone could use this place no matter how much they think they know. This was just my experience though and I wish all the success in whatever way you decide to go.

Suppose a few extra trainings won't do any harm. I'm learning every day. Turns out that things I thought I knew, I should sharpen a bit more. Just carry on Stacia!

Hi Stacia,
I am building my site for over a month now and don't have a lot of traffic either, around 20-50 a day. And I believe most of them came from Wealthy Affiliate so it's not very targeted as I only promote WA there.

I think it's good that you want to build a website about a topic you know. What I would recommend is to focus on building one site. For most websites, when you are starting out, it will take a while to build traffic and an audience, just persevere at it, play around with different methods and stick with one that works best for you.
All the best!

Hi every website you take on has a lot work attached to it so it's up to you. The more thinly you spread your self the longer it will take to acquire traffic and sales. So ultimately it depends on how much time and energy you have, and what you are really trying to achieve.
