The Rewards Of Writing
I recently received an advance PDF format copy of a horror book in exchange for a review. (In case you don't know, I have a horror site as my niche here.) I really liked the book and gave it a positive review ( http://horrorcabin.com/dark-tales-elder-regions-review ). You can read it if you're so inclined.
A while later I received the finished hard copy book in the mail and the publishers used a blurb from my review on the back of the book AND the inside cover as well! Am I bragging? Absolutely! Mainly because my life is not brag worthy. Except for my adventures playing "World Of Warcraft" drunk while eating a box of pizza rolls, not much happens worth noting. One time I got a free bag of chips out of a vending machine and I BRAGGED ABOUT THAT FOR A YEAR. So, to me, this is a pretty big deal!
And now I've been asked to write a chapter in an upcoming anthology book about "animal attack" horror films. I went for, and got, the 2003 version of "Willard". I love that film and can't wait to start my 1200 word essay.
Sometimes having a website pays off more than just with money. Now all I need to do is find those author groupies. I'm sure they're out there somewhere. The internet said so.
Rock on peeps! :)

Awesome! This is definitely something that is worth bragging about :) I for one enjoy reading about anything that is horror related, it really interests me a lot. I can't wait to read your essay :D
Thanks yo! I've loved horror ever since watching "The Exorcist"....when I was 11 lol I can't wait for you to read my essay. Actually, I hope SOMEONE actually reads it lol :)
Horror definitely gets the adrenaline pumping in your veins :D I really loved the Friday the 13th movies. :D
You can never go wrong with Friday the Thirteenth. NEVER! When people say "classics" in the genre, there are really only four: Jason, Michael, Freddy, and Leatherface! :)
