I've been working on my websites a lot recently - we all know how many hours writing a single post can take! But it's all worth it, because at the end of the day, you're your own boss with the freedom of writing about anything you want. It's all extremely pleasing and satisfying...
until you hear those crickets when it comes to social media likes.
It's extremely frustrating, especially at the beginning - you've created a blog post that's a piece of art and only have a few individuals responding to it.

This has been a really great idea for those of us who found each other on Pinterest because of Kyle's post Let's Network on Pinterest! .
One suggestion: Set up your FB page as a business instead of just personal page, because it gives people the opportunity to "Follow" instead of "Friend." Most people like to reserve their friends list for people who are really close or family.
