With an infinite number of possible niches to choose from, it’s common for people to get stuck on this very important early step. To get the juices flowing, start with these questions and see where they lead you. You don't have to share your answers here. These 12 questions are just intended to spark your first brainstorming session.

Once you find something that excites you, you’ll be more inclined to write dozens of articles about it on your blog ~ which is the secret sauce, right? Or at least one of the secret ingredients in the secret sauce.

So here goes:

  1. What lights you up?
  2. When you have free time, what do you like to do?
  3. Where do you like to go?
  4. Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
  5. What books or magazines do you like to read?
  6. If money wasn’t an issue and you could do anything in the world, what would it be?
  7. Do you (or loved ones) suffer from a particular ailment or disability?
  8. Have you (or they) found some relief from a particular product, therapy or service?
  9. Where is your empathy drawn?
  10. What about fetishes? Foot fetishes are a big thing!
  11. Do you have any quirky interests?
  12. Favorite games? Drinks? Hobbies?

You’re probably beginning to get some ideas flowing now… Have fun with it!
