Buzzing Along And Setting New Goals
I guess it's time for a quick update, so I am writing this blog post. Also, I am really excited about something, and I wish to share what I have been up to lately.
Here's a quick update:
I posted a blog a few weeks ago showing my success, and thankfully, I am still making great commissions. I am now at $100 a week...which isn't great, but it's a start.
Here's my new goal:
Starting today, I am going to be creating a new affiliate site. This site will primarily focus on generating an affiliate income of $200 a day. I will be severely limiting the content on the site to preserve the power of the juice the domain will be receiving.
Now, you might be thinking that this is a dumb idea, because how am I supposed to build relevance to my site, and show to Google that my site is what people want?
The answer to that is a very well planned SEO strategy.
Here's a quick outline of my strategy:
In order to build a successful SEO campaign you need to have the “Three Keys” of SEO, and they must all be balanced like an equilateral triangle.
The Three Keys
- 1.On-page
- 2.Off-page
- 3.Social Signals
On-page
This is covers all the things that you do to your website in order to rank it. If you don’t do this part, then don’t even waste your time with the other parts. This is the most important part of the formula, and you can’t get anywhere without it.
Consider this analogy:
“If you want to get into a horse race, the fact that you are actually a horse is like the on-page part of SEO. So, if you want to get listed in the SERPS, you have to do on-page SEO properly.”
Otherwise you will never have long-term sustainable rankings.
Off-page
Factors include all the things that you do that are not related to your website.
E.g. Backlinks, Citations, external “things” that make your site more relevant.
Social Signals
Social signals can actually be a subset of off-page, but Social Signals are so important that they deserve their own section and mention.
A great way to get social signals is to preform “Social Stacking”. So, you need to create all of the social media accounts that would benefit your website, and then you need to interlink all of them. Don’t forget how the juice flows…even though these are “nofollow” the signals are still weighted heavily in Google’s eyes!
They now have a “front-row seat” in Google now. They are almost replacing traditional backlinks. Not to mention setting up many social accounts to get your brand out is very natural in the eyes of Google, so you have a better chance to rank higher, and a lower chance to get penalized.
Bonus: Social can bring highly targeted- direct traffic to your site.
I will give updates on my progress, and monetary earnings. I plan to start seeing page one rankings by the two week mark.
Wish me luck everyone, and I hope you can do the same!
P.S. I forgot to mention that I have two clients already, Two site builds + client SEO. They are both doing very well in the SERPS, and my clients are happy! :D
