Taking a break .

I have been running with a full plate, burning the candle at both ends, and finally hit a bit of a wall.

Life can really beat you up, and many of us take on tons of different projects to try and get ahead. Well at least I know I did.

I started to feel a bit overwhelmed so I took a break... Took a step back, looked at all I wanted to do and all I still want to accomplish, and the gave myself a few days to just re centre and relax.

Now I'm working on a new plan, and then will gear up for the next steps. I think this is something we all need to do sometimes. When we start something new, or set out to accomplish things there are times where we need to take a step back and evaluate all you have accomplished up till this point, celebrate our success, look at areas of opportunity, and create an action plan to keep moving forward.

The break I took was well needed and very much deserved. Im now ready for the next steps forward.

Take care of yourselves out there, no success is worth your own well being. The ultimate win is when you are able to create a work life balance...

onwards and upwards

Good for you...if you're not good, nobody is good. Very smart to realize this when young enough to enjoy these breaks.

My little break felt like a mental vacation lol... was well needed for sure :)

A friend of mine had a proverb "A car has to back-up before it goes forward. Life sometimes need a back up in order to renew and go forward.

Great to hear you realized you needed to take a break ad I'm sure it will benefit you going forward.

The break has made me feel a lot better. It really gave me a chance celebrate some of my successes, something I think a lot of us forget when we are building our foundations for a bright future. One win at a time :)

I agree with taking breaks and also to say no sometimes, at least for our sanity ;) Glad you were able to reset!! Have a great Sunday!

Thankyou for taking the time to comment. Saying no can be so hard! It feels good sometimes when you do :) hope you had a great Sunday

I am a very strong believer in breaks!

You do need to stop and re-focus at times. It gives you a chance to think over everything you did and get ready for what comes next.

Absolutly. You can also learn a lot about yourself when you do that. The balance is so important

It's great that you acknowledged needing to step back when you did. Welcome back and ready to go!

A very good post. Take a break, muse deeply about your action plan and resume it the faster the better.

See if I can also take a break and some fresh air.

Nice advice, Sophie. It sounds like your priorities are in the correct order. Best of luck as you dive back in with WA.

Wish you all the success here at WA and best of luck as well :)

Great advise. I am not the best planner but do try and set short term and long term goals. These goals need to be evaluated from time to time. We also need to be able to recognize if something isn't working and be willing to change.

Goals are great, but it's also important like you said to make short term and long term goals. The short term goals can give us some time to celebrate every once in a while, which we do need to do. And making changes to a plan is one of the toughest things to do sometimes. You think the plan is great so you keep trying to make it work, but in reality you may be wasting precious time that could be better used to re focus and make a new plan.

Thanks for stopping by and taking time to comment. Good luck with all of your goals :)
