Hi gang--

As a newbie to the WA block I look so forward to learning from the best of the best here in the family.

As a guy who has been around the block of life for a while, I wanted to share the primary victory that I have found here at WA: personal freedom.

You see, I have some experience creating websites and so I'm not usually bothered by the learning curve of creating these new ones (although since I'm from the old school of coding websites, the Content Management System inside WP makes me angry at times!!).

I still have much to learn in creating websites that are readable, catchy and of course SEO friendly. But what I have found right from the start is the freedom to create. I have found my voice in creating websites that are meaningful.

This is Victory #1. As a word of encouragement to those who are struggling with this for ideas or getting bogged down by technical issues, just know that there is a 10,000 foot view that you must accomplish first!! Or at least accomplish soon.

What do I mean by the 10,000 foot view??

I mean that you, and only you, are in control of how and what styles of sites that you are going to build, how you are going to learn to drive traffic there and how you are going to monetize them. You really need to spend some time at the 10,000 foot level and draw the big picture for yourself.

For example, I have three sites hosted here at WA for the purpose of monetization. Now, as a newbie to this world, I will most likely change some tactics here and there. But I have a large overview of how I'm going to proceed:

http://www.accessoriesforguitar.com is a guitar parts review site. The revenue model there is a site that has reviews and helps interested parties shop at affiliates. I have chosen three specific affiliates, and I give people interesting information and help drive them to these retailers.
http://www.createwealthonlinetoday.com is my Wealthy Affiliate promotion site. This site concentrates on the promotion of WA as well as scam avoidance, the reviews of money making opportunities, etc.
http://www.breezeguitars.com is a website created to sell my guitar designs. I have contracted with a guitar manufacturer to make my models and to also sell some of theirs.

All three of these sites are under construction and are nowhere near complete, but they represent the sum total of my efforts for now. I will slowly and surely build all three.

Now trust me, I don't intend on placing the cart before the horse here. I have organic traffic to create in order to make all three sites work effectively, and I am not depending on any one of them to succeed dramatically in order to fund the others. I am creating multiple revenue streams.

These sites are very specific to my talents, and others may or may not agree with how I'm handling these sites or the methods that I am using. But that doesn't matter, what's important is that these are MY sites that are being directed from my 10,000 foot view.
