Promoting Your Website through Apps
In this 21st Century technology has paved the way for internet marketers to share their voice and the products they believe in. Branding yourself and your website in a positive way is key to success.
It has been on my heart to share with you a a powerful source that can potentially send you traffic and leads that can and will help you boost your online business.
Here we go :) ...
There is power in the smartphone and the apps they hold. There are 68% of Americans that have a smartphone, which is up 35% from just four years ago, while 45% own some sort of tablet. The way we receive information hase changed, there is no doubt about that. The flow of information while on the go is very fast and convient. It is projected that there will be 268 billion apps download by 2017. That's huge!!
Just ask yourself how many times have you searched Google Play or the App Store for a new app that you might be interested in? I believe there is an untapped market here for website and product marketing that can lead to an exponential amount of traffic to your website.
What I want to share with you is a way to market your website to the same people around the world that search Google for the information or product/s you are promoting. I truly believe this is a golden nugget that has not been touched on too much. It's ripe for the taking. Shall we grab a piece of it and understand more of the mechanics to help drive our online business to success?
Are you ready?
Here's the not so secret I found...
(and it's only a fraction of the market potential when you think about it.)...
You can promote your website on Google Play which will potentially reach millions of people by creating an app that links directly to your website. You can also monotize this app of yours with admob (same as adsense) to mak extra revenue outside of the products you sell.
The best part is that you can use some of the same keyword techniques taught here on WA to get your app ranked faster in the Google Play store. There are many factors to getting your app ranked, however I won't touch on that here. Just know that you can use the alphabet soup technique when doing your research for a qualifying app name. Search for any niche you are interested in on google play using this technique and see for yourself.
Below is a few examples of what I have done on Google Play that works. These apps were made within 10 minutes and published live on Google Play for people like you to download within the hour. Very simple with very little time dedication.

*** I've found that it is harder to get a website app approved on the App Store (Apple). The app store by design from what I have found is not keen on having apps that link to websites, however Google Play is open season and ripe for the taking. ***
By now you might be asking how do I get my website on an app and published for download?
It is very simple and takes no time at all. You can can use a free service like AppsGeyser.
AppsGeyser will walk you through the process of creating the app that will link to your website and then how to publish on Google Play. Note that in order to publish an app on Google Play you will have to pay a 1x fee of 25$. Just a small price to pay for marketing and tapping into more exposure for your online business.
This is my first blog here on WA and I hope that you - the reader :) will find some value, motivation for promoting your brand/website, and find great success in your online business through the information I have shared here with you.
Best of success to you!

Hey Jason,
This is cool information. Very informative and given me something to chew over. I am just about to start a new window washing business which in time will include a website, built via WordPress here at WA and so an app would be really cool.
All the best at WA and if I haven't welcomed you yet, WELCOME TO WA NETWORK!
Regards,
Duncan
You're welcome and thank you. Best of success to you on your window washing business :)

This is great info, saving and trying this. thanks.
Your welcome. :)
One thing to note is that Google Play does not like to have the first load page with a video that starts on auto play, so make sure to turn that off or have a landing page just for the app when it loads on someones device. So basically you would create the app with URL of your site that has landing page pushing user to the rest of your site.
Cheers,
Jason
Okay that is simple enough to do thanks
You're welcome. You can even sign up for adwords through your Google play dev account to generate traffic. Just like paying for traffic if that is a route you like to go :)
