My Google ADSense earnings and some progress

It's been a while since I last wrote here. I like writing (maybe too much since I can either send a 1-sentence email or a 2 -page essay no one wants to read... lol), but I have been focusing solely on my website posting.

On the other hand I love the idea of keeping track of my own developments, to see how the whole roadtrip went after a couple of years from now. To laugh about how silly I was to be so worried with something that happened to go well afterall. So... here I am :)

The biggest money achievement I've got so far was to get some earnings in Google AdSense. They are laughable to say the least, but they are proof that we can earn money online, it's just a matter of scaling and objectives.

I am also running an experiment on ADSense as I really - really - don't like the idea of spamming my readers with google ads, I am a bit sick of them when visiting other blogs and websites. So, I really need to see values to get convinced to put more ads on my website.

As the only source of income so far, let's see if I can improve it, at least to a few euros per month. I am beginning to conclude that I am keeping ADSense as a sort of "talisman" rather than an actual source of income. I see euros and I believe :)

I am still on that really insecure phase where I don't have a single sale on affiliate programs or amazon products I can grasp. I am wondering if I am doing something wrong, should change it... Fact is I have low enough traffic to take any conclusions. I just have to try several different things and hope some will work (or traffic gets bigger and simply start to convert).

On the bright side:

I am seeing an average number of daily users of 8 to 9, with a total of 250 per month now, I was having around 20 per month before joining WA. Lol. And one was definitely me...
Although I am using social media to push traffic to my website (not much), organic traffic is now my number one traffic source, for which I am so glad about. The turn was around middle August.
I have reached the 30-post milestone 2 weeks ago, and fortunately have still loads of ideas to continue posting: in soap making, recipes are a great, great source of posting material :)
My website has a domain authority of 3.

Well that about it and I better end this before it turns into another essay xD

To everyone, persistence is key!! There's a portuguese saying, don't know if there is an equivalent in english: "água mole em pedra dura tanto dá até que fura" (a rough translation is that even soft water hitting hard stone, after long enough, it will make a hole in the stone - a saying about persistence and patience).
