First Week's Reflection

It has been about a week since I have reengaged in Wealthy Affiliates. I am taking a few minutes to reflect on my progress.

First, I have put in double the time I anticipated at this point. I think that is a good thing. When I started in 2012 I pretty much ignored the forums, other members’ questions, and blogs. This time around I consider all the above important, and am finding it very rewarding. What is the difference? I have relaxed and allow others to be what they are intended to be-important to me.

Second, my training is more relaxed and rewarding. I am anxious to get my web site up, but I consider it more important that it be done in the sequential steps of Kyle’s instruction.

My hang up on the “About Me” assignment has shown me my website name needed refinement to more closely reflect the content. I think that is good.

Third, I am in an environment that I am comfortable with. That is meeting people in a business environment and building relationships through the mutual interest of business.

Finally, this business model fits my personality. I am involved with a network marketing company. I have actually made money in it, but have pulled back. The reason why I am pulling back is everyone is focused on rank and recruiting. The pressure of always getting others involved in the business is never truly for the benefit of those that are being recruited. At WA I work to fulfill the needs of my niche. Plus, when I talk to others about earning their way out of debt, they do not have to invest money to get started. That is way “cool.”

Post Script: A couple of guiding points for me are:

1) What is my why?

2) What is my duty in what I am doing?

3) How does this benefit others?

Hi Rex...

I want to tell you that I appreciate your contributions and your final comment in this blog post... number 3. I don't know if it's been your experience or not, but for me, my life has evolved to where doing things for the benefit of people is the bottom line for me. Everything else seems to take care of itself beyond that. If I concentrate on genuinely loving others, or at least tying to, life seems to fall into place.

Hi Rex, thanks, I needed to read your blog, and I appreciate the thoughts you shared. I can remember prior to joining WA I was a 'hunter' and not so much a 'professional' when it came to growing a downline. I was worried more about getting up there in the ranks rather than learning the true art of staying in network marketing and having this as my future. When I, like you, pulled back, I too found a better and more cohesive way to work my business.
I look forward to reading more about your insight and knowlege.
Thanks again Rex :)

Thanks for taking the time to read my 1st week's reflection. Lill, your determination is contagious. May the Lord bless you with his provision in WA.

Thank you for the encouragement.

You've got a good perspective on how to proceed. Keep it up and you will do well.
