Eager to Market My Site!
So I have been writing articles as much as I can between work and my other studies, and I keep getting emails from WA that Google has been indexing and ranking my articles! I did one search in the same keyword that I wrote an article on and it was number one on Google! (I tried similar keywords in a different phrase and it was on the second or third page).
That's pretty exciting and I hope I am getting traffic (I am not sure how to tell if I am or not).
Anyway, knowing that it is now on Google (and I assume Bing and Yahoo but I'm not getting emails telling me that) has made me really want to place affiliate links on there. I don't have any product reviews yet, but I have written my previous articles with that in mind so it would not be very difficult to edit those and put links in.
But, right now I am at six complete and published articles, and I still need at least fourteen more before I can monetize the site. I would like to have thirty written, however. But I don't want to just write things to fill up that number; I want well-researched and well-written articles on my niche, and that takes a little bit of time to write.
So I am in the state of needing to write articles, desiring to monetize them, and yet having patience to not rush the process and make sure I write the recommended amount of articles before I do.
I am hoping to have 30 articles published by the end of the month; then perhaps starting on January first I can have my first affiliate link!
Then after that I'll slow it down to three to five articles a week.
Does that sound like a good goal?

Three to Five Articles a week would not be considered slowing down , Larry, that is still an excellent pace! Don't rush things! I f you get 30 good quality posts out before the end of the year that would be GREAT though!

Absolutely. The #1 key to success here is pushing out quality content. Period.
If you make it your habit from the very beginning to create quality content regularly, the more and more you grow out your site, the better it will be.
