I love both strawberries and blueberries and often freeze them to blend up later in a smoothie. Interestingly, of the two, only blueberries are actually berries.

I'd love to visit Jamaica one day. Yes, my smoothies are the brain freeze type as well.
ok you are welcome at anytime to jamaica we are loving people and jamaica is a beautiful island also so don't be afraid .
Really?!?! A strawberry isn’t a berry?!
Berries have their seeds on the inside. Examples are blueberries and cranberries. Strawberries on the other hand have their yellow-colored seeds on the outside. Botanists classify the strawberry as an accessory aggregate fruit, meaning one that forms from multiple ovaries within the same flower.
It's fascinating, isn't it? Many don't realise a banana is classified as a berry too.
really! a banana,
Yep! There are some other odd ones you wouldn't think of too.
As Phil mentioned above, a lot of it is to do with how the fruit develops.
Plant (and animal) nomenclature is a weird and wonderful world.
