For anyone new (or struggling)
Some helpful information
I rarely post here but I thought that I should pass on some information that has been extremely helpful to me.
I've been plugging along here since 2018 and really haven't made as much progress as I would have wanted. Had I found the information that I'm going to talk about here perhaps I might have been more active.
Nonetheless, I did discover a lot of cool stuff. For example, when I got to the installation of plugins in WordPress I was led to believe that I really needed monster insights.
Not true and I'm glad I discovered that. There are numerous tutorials here how about Google Analytics and Google search console and how to use them as opposed to monster insights.
Do understand that this is a hell of a lot of work. And I do believe that it is very well worth it.
Use the search console as it is your best friend. There you can find every member and everyone that has ever posted here, it's an encyclopedia of wealthy affiliate.
If you don't find what you're looking for in the search console then pick from the list of Ambassadors that are listed on your home page and ask any question you like, you will get an answer. I made the mistake of not using it more often because I'm a bit bullheaded.
Two people here that I will use as examples are Partha and Cassie of Troy because within their blogs you will find a treasure trove of information that will make your life much easier here. The replies and comments to those posts will open up another window of members here that represent a large number of the people that are very successful here. People that I have learned a great deal from. They deserve applause,
The Catherine is also a great source of information. You will find many more,
This is in no way intentionally saying anything against Kyle and Carson's training as I am simply pointing out that there is lots more training on this platform
WA Creates Millionaires.
Do write a good biography it is everyone's first impression of you,
WRITE lots of content and worry about the rest of this stuff later,
Don't give up I tried a few times but my pride wouldn't let me quit,
Your friend.

Hi Stephen,
Thank you for sharing.
I agree and can relate to you, as for a lot of members who may have struggled or currently are at the moment. I still do to some extent, but I ask for help and reach out when needed.
It takes time and hard work starting out. But you're right about utilizing WA resources and the community. There's so much on here to help us move forward in online business.
A nice post- it's helpful and insightful.
All the best,
Eric
Hmmm...I just added Monster Insights and I have no idea why. I think I'm going to go back and unsubscribe or whatever it is I need to do.
Thanks for the tips, Steve.
You and I already talked about the genius of Partha, but I agree that there are many others, as well, who are successful.
Lynn
Partha is one that told me about the options to monster insights and reminded me that there is a training available right here on how to do it for the Google search console etc
Glad you didn't quit! Monster Insights is always trying to get me to upgrade, too. I am perfectly happy with my Google tools. Like you I don't blog very much here, but I do like reading others' blogs. I am planning on coming up with some sort of training to try to give back to the community more. Nice blog!

Great post Steve. I joined 2016 after leaving 8-5 job. I haven't much progress though primarily due to main inaction (do i say call it laziness?). However for some reason i have not quit and won't! My instincts strongly tells me not to. Lately I've devoted more time to learning, re-learning and writing and i have noted some progress.
Perhaps caring too much about perfection is a dream killer (my big problem), Perfection comes with doing and lots of mistakes.
I won't give up. Thanks Steve
It might not *be* laziness. It might simply be overwhelm or fear; that old paraysis, of "Where do I even start?" but you can combat both. Just take the training one day at a time, one task at a time. It doesn't have to be done in a day! I was here for 13 years before getting active, because I was so overwhelmed, and because I had a lot of personal issues I had to confront before I could get started, one of them being focus issues. :)
If you are determined you will overcome the blockade and find the flow that works for you. Keep on keeping on.
