Watch your step, do not follow the footsteps of thugs.
Prov. 1:10 “My son, if sinners [thugs]entice you,
Do not consent.”
Without hesitation, reject the temptation of of those who would deceive you, or lead you astray. In the business world, there is a lot of that mess out there.
15-16 My son,do not walk in the way with them.
Keep your feet from their path,
Sinners will try to deceive you, and entice you into following lies. Their pathway is sinking sand. To remain on the path of wisdom, keep learning wisdom. To stay on the path of truth, pursue truth. You will recognize the path that ends in destruction by knowing truth and wisdom.
16 For their feet run to evil
And they hasten to shed blood.
18 “But they lie in wait for their own blood;
They ambush their own lives.”
When you reject wisdom and truth, you set a guaranteed trap for yourself. Don't do that. Following the truth, and earning less money is a far better way than getting wealthy and losing everything by following sweet lies.
