This is so good! We are needing to create a landing page soon.
Very creative explanation of the sales funnel.
Thanks, Zed!

I am not sure I have a landing page on my site, and don't know what I need to put in it. My home page is a blog roll. Is there a way to get a landing page in front of it? Not sure what to do on this question.
The ugly definition is this:
a web page which serves as the entry point for a website or a particular section of a website
In other words, you need to create a dedicated page on your site, which isn't visible or accessible for you regular visitors, but can be used in your promotional efforts (email, social, etc) as an easy-to-digest attractive "summary" of your site.
Where do you put it? Does it not go on the menu, since it is not for everyone? How do people see it when you want them to? Hmm. l
have lotsa questions about this one. Something more to learn...
That's the point Fran.
Will be there on your site between your pages, but won't appear in your menu, your blogroll, etc.
You'll use that page URL to promote your site via emails, in your social messages, etc.
And usually contains a CTA, a signup form, etc
Where do I locate the page when I establish it? How can you get a URL when it does not appear on your website? I am a bit confused.
Is just like your posts Fran.
The only difference ... You won't create it under Posts ...
In your Wordpress admin are you'll select Pages ... And everything is identical. Title, URL, content, publish ....
