Progress beyond my expectations.

Here is an update on what's going on with me.

I started back in May with the idea to create a travel website for both people who are interested in traveling to faraway exotic places, and those who are not, but who are interested in foreign cultures and their cuisines, music and history.

I thought that one thing that might keep me interested and engaged (and my audience as well) would be to write about a different location each month. This has really turned out to be a lot of fun for me. The research and the creation of the posts and pages has been really exciting and the feedback has been very positive.

I have learned so much from the lessons at Wealthy Affiliate. I wish I were further along, but my progress is influenced by two things-my kids, and my music career. I have a 2 year old and a 1 year old and when they are not at day care, it's pretty rough getting anything at all done, besides keeping them safe, fed and entertained. My wife and I actually work at the same University, but have opposite schedules. She works mornings and I work afternoons and evenings, so during the week we are kind of like single parents who live together.

Second, my semester is about to start. I teach music classes and do musical preparation, rehearsals, etc. for our voice and opera department. Also, I had gigs this summer that were rehearsal intensive and I had to stop with WA for weeks at a time.

So anyway, I am thrilled by the things I've learned, can't believe that I actually have this website (and that people like it) and although it's going to be harder as school gets underway, I'm really excited about learning more AND participating in this very supportive community. Much thanks to Kyle, Carson and all who have helped me with their encouragement and comments.
