Paying Attention To What You Rank For In Google Search

I was browsing around Google search console and found that I have been ranking for keywords and pages that I really had no idea I was ranking for. I mean, I had a good idea of what my hottest pages were by viewing my Google analytics, but I was really surprised to see what Google thinks I am an "expert" in.

Not What I Expected

Of course there are many keywords and keyphrases that I've chosen over time. Many are among the same theme, but I had no clue Google had been ranking me for these specific keywords and topics. Instead of ignoring the signs, I went ahead and began writing even more blog posts around these keywords which luckily my affiliate partnerships fit into.

Organic Traffic Has Increased As A Result

I put the pieces together after someone here that I admire had mentioned going with the flow of what Google ranks them for. I decided to ramp up my posts and what do you know? I began getting an increase of organic traffic. Slowly of course, but it is going up nontheless. Progress is progress and I am going to update on how it goes from here on out.
