Shep's Progress Thus Far A Journal of my Journey

Well, it's been a an interesting journey so far. I've gone from knowing very little of blogging and affiliate marketing, to owning a blog and researching and writing content.

The downside so far is that I can't figure out SEO ( I guess?). My pages don't rank well from what I can tell. The only traffic I receive is from the WA community. While this is great (you guys have been absolutely amazing with your comments and feedback), this has not helped me produce constant traffic to create potential profit - this can partly be due to the fact that my site is about joining WA (and other sites). On the plus side I have had 3 referrals, but none have stuck it out with WA

I'm curious if I should begin another affiliate marketing blog? Perhaps one about a passion of mine; cooking - but with the vast amount of cooking sites out there how do I find a niche that I understand and can monetize? I could jump in to another market such as games/gaming but that is also a large market, and hard to find a small niche in.

The issue with a second blog is having time to create content for BOTH sites. There is not enough time in my day. So how do I get around this?

Right now I need to focus on getting through the OEC courses. I'm only now just completing course 2 and I think this may always be causing me to flounder a bit.

Until I write again...

Best of luck with your progress, Shep. Look forward to your next blog.

It's funny you say that because I feel like I haven't been getting anywhere.

To make matters a little worse I haven't published in a week - I think this has to do with the very fact that you should choose a niche you know and understand.
While I enjoy researching and learning about many different opportunities to work from home, they are not my passion. As I mentioned in my post above, I enjoy both cooking (I'm a Red Seal chef if that counts for anything) and playing all sorts of games. Finding a niche within either of those markets is no simple thing - and to find the time to dedicate to either of these ideas isn't possible at this moment.

These are the dilemmas I face. Hopefully I can make it all come together.
