My Journey with WA so far.

I began to research online teaching back in October and early November. In the process of exploring I ran across several searches about WA. Some titled "Is WA a scam" or "What you should know before joining WA". I read all of the posts. I was very intrigued about Wealthy Affiliate and why people would want to join.

I walked through the free training and created my first website. It was all confusing at first. (Some of it still is). But it was exciting too. I felt like I was learning and accomplishing so much. It was lke an emotional high. When I reached lesson 2 and went back and forth in my mind about whether to become an official member, I ultimately reach the conclusion that I had every thing to gain and nothing to loose.

I told a friend about Wealthy Affiliate and what I was working on and it was explained to me that this type of marketing is like enrolling in a University. You get out of it...EXACTLY what you put into it. So that was my true "jumping off point" and I can't wait to put all my time into this business and create a revenue that I can be proud of.

Since that time I've been putting as much time in as possible. Every accomplishment was acknowledge by the platform and all of the community of WA. The encouragement was amazing. It just pushed me more and more. I've tried to work no less than 4 hours a day on trainings and tasks. Sometimes I have to review the training again, but thats the great part. Its there for me to review and I always catch new things that I missed in the first viewing.

I orginally created a website about buying clothing for the preteen girl. (I have 2 of them). I wrote a couple of posts, but found that I didn't seem to have enough ideas about buying clothes, choosing clothes to keep myself interest so how in the world would I keep readers interested.

I went back and created a new website. Its called Shena's View. I'm very proud of the this site so far. Im eager to keep moving forward and learning more and more. As a former public school teacher, my motto has always been, "Learning is a life-long process" and I love learning.

Till next time,

Shena

What put me off joining WA was the scammy blog posts about other programs but my number #1 recommendation is WA.

Great post! I also went to the scam report to check WA out! It certainly is not a scam! I wish you continued success!

I agree with Jessica. Great post.
I borrow "You get out of it...EXACTLY what you put into it." if you don't mind. ;-)
Thanks for sharing.
Keep it up!

Absolutely... qrwizard :-)

I'm afraid I will get exactly what I put into... my new post: a free domain to develop myself... hahaha

Great post! I love that you shared that your first web site and niche was not ’the right one’. I think it is good and useful to share that the niche or topic you start off with doesn’t have to be THE one. After all, how will you know until you try..? It is also important to realise when you are a newbie, that you shouldn’t ’overthink’ your niche - it is better to get started and then you will find out if your niche or site makes you want to create more and more posts - or not.
Glad you started with something, then realized you could start a new site that makes you thrive. After all, as a premium member we can have 50 sites...! That is excellent.
Wishing you all the best with your new path. Thanks for sharing!

I'm happy you're here Shena. Learning is my absolute favorite thing and aren't we lucky we're in the right spot to do just that?!

Never stop Learning right?!
Excellent!

I like the motto. Another good one is "knowledge is power".

Congrats. On your accomplishments so far and many more to come. Love the post. So encouraging.

As you say it is all about learning and there is plenty here at WA to keep one busy for some time but it is all worth it as we are working on our future. To your success.

Wayne
