Surprise! Google Indexed Your Website!
Yes, I was very surprised.
My website has been indexed by Google!
I'm not sure whether it was due to the awesomeness of the ONE piece of content I posted, or the complete hash I made of attempting to incorporate Google Analytics into my site. (Is that right? Do you incorporate Google Analytics into your website?)
But either way, my site is officially out there and I have also gained my Google Badge! Whoohoo!!!
Roope Kiuttu - Superstar
I have to give a big shout out to Roope for posting his article about the 7 common mistakes that beginners make with their websites. While I didn't think the font size I used was too small (#5), I was definitely guilty of #1.
I was trying to do everything perfectly from the beginning.
Now, I actually told myself, that all I was doing was just being thorough. There are a lot of training videos in the Affiliate Bootcamp programme, and it's quite easy for a newbie to become overwhelmed. So it's better to go through the training videos slowly, and follow the step-by-step instructions carefully. Seems sensible, right? Right!
Except...
The problem with "sensible" for me, was that it often translated into "analysis paralysis". Slow and steady is great, and yes, being thorough helps you to avoid mistakes. But the biggest mistake I was making, was not putting into action everything that I was leaning.
Why? Because I wanted it to be perfect!!! Silly, silly me!
I'm really old enough to know that NOTHING is ever perfect, and that imperfect action beats inaction every time!
So, thanks Roope for your timely post. I would not have pulled my finger out and started to take action otherwise.
You can read Roope's post here - I know I'll be reading it again. And again.

Final thoughts
Analysis paralysis is REAL, people. DO NOT let it stop you from taking action. And don't kid yourself into mistaking "thoroughness" for "perfection" either. They do not mean the same thing! Finally, I just have to say this once more:
IMPERFECT ACTION BEATS INACTION EVERY TIME.
Cheers, folks.
