My hardships and my Victories throughout my journey!
Hi all my wonderful Wealty affiliate friends.
I am so happy to share with you all today. It has been a long hard road from beggining to present and there is still a long way to go.
I want to take this oppotunity to thank all my wonderful friends for their support and help on many occasions. I could not have done it without you!
It is very difficult to learn something on your own and I learned that the hard way. In my efforts to constuct a good web site I came upon many obstacles but, I didn't bother to ask for help. Some came via site feedback and for that I am most greatful.
Other times I just tried to figure things out by myself, Big mistake! I just wasted my time until one day I decided I was tired of battling and I asked for help. Well I could have kicked myself when I realized how much help is out there in the community, again thank you all!
I had some difficulty following videos, If one simple step was left out then I found myself lost and confused. I think the other problem is, and I'm not sure but it seems to be the only explanation, that the videos are dated and my new computer is, well, very different. I am still learning to find my way around it. I don't seem to be able to see the mouse pointer or where it clicks, so the tutor assumes that everyone can see it clearly and continues only giving key points, hence the reason I get lost. Wouldn't be so bad if they said click here now, click here now, click here etc. But that would take like probably ten minutes extra on the tutoril.
I believe that it is very difficult for someone to teach someone else without reasonable discussion so as to alliminate missunderstanding among other issues.
I am by no means shooting video tutorials or tutors down, please don't get me wrong. I appreciate that everyone is helping out the best way that they can but, I have seen some videos where the tutor does a step by step as if teaching a child, just as we are-children of web design, at least I know I am. I still have a lot to learn.
So I think what I am trying to say is, if you don't follow the video or text tutorials, then ask a question. Someone always answers and someone always helps and often more than one person! This community is wonderful, caring and helpful.
So the moral of the story is that I have with the help of the Wealthy affiliate community achieved a great deal with my web site. It has a few pages and at least 7 posts with up to 4000 words, complete with internal and external links, videos, graphics and ads. etc. etc.
Well it wouldn't be where it is without my helpful community so once again I say thank you all so very much for your help and support.
So for all you newbies out there, please don't give up. I see that on a regular basis and I think it is perhaps similar to what I experienced. If I had not plucked up the courage to ask a question then I woud not have been here today! I know what it is like to need to succeed and notice I said need to not want! I have heart disease and had to give up my job 2 months ago, but I won't let that stop me. Borrow the money for my subscription etc. but I will not give up I will succeed!
So please people, ask questions we are all family and there are no stupid questions. Even those who are sitting in Rank 1 to 10 were clueless as we are right now.
Before you give up inbox me and if I can't help with your particular question then I will take you to someone who can, but succeed you will.
Good luck everyone happy tutoring an for the others, happy learning.
Regards Shaun

Great post, Shaun! I'm like you, I hesitate to ask for help, but it's so important to remember that we're all here to help each other. Your photo is the best ever... Amazing! What is that creature?
Thank you Joan, yes it would seem that a lot of people have the same problem and hopefully, this blog will encourage members to use the community for help instead of giving up on their dream.
Thank you for being a part of the family and for not giving up hope.
I am crazy about fishing and I am past hunting for just any fish so I now hunt monster fish.
That is called a Carp, it is a freshwater fish caught in just about every country I know. I don't ever keep any of my fish, all are returned to the water. For me, it is a sport.
Good luck as you move forward.
Cheers!
Monster fish is a great term for that... impressive! It must have taken a lot of strength to catch that.
Wishing you tons of success in 2019 and beyond, Shaun!

Wonderful post Shaun, we are all still learners no matter what rank we have and your prob with videos is same as me. Sometimes it was quite fuzzy but I never thought to bring it up because I felt like maybe my PC was what was wrong lol...thank you for sharing :) may you continue to move forward - your own experiences is going to help those going through the same thing :)
Thank you for your kind word Llaisaane.
Yes, I have been toying with it for a while, afraid of offending anyone, but finally, I felt the need to view my opinion as it could give new members some hope and courage to reach out to the community for help and not to just give up as I almost did.
Thank you for being a great person.
Cheers!
