Hi all you very supportive people here at Wealthy Affiliate!
I have been going through the absolutely awesome training's here and am slowly but surely getting my blog together and just basically wanted to ask for your constructive criticism - yes I can handle it...lol
I am doing the online business niche targeting and of course the WA blogging platform as I think about what I really want to do for a niche site. This will keep me busy for the moment.
I have added an online marketing tab (so I can add Value posts on marketing) etc to Social media so its not just all about offering up a business/affiliate opportunity.
I will probably also put in a sign up offer on the sidebar so I can capture leads as well and of course email my list etc.

Hi Sharon. Thought I would drop you a few lines.
Of course you're just starting but your site looks fine.
First of if you have actually published anything you should get rid of that Home Page (Hello World) ASAP.
If you're going to promote WA then make that your Landing Page with a short description about WA with a link to your WA Review.
I would also have your Links coloured BLUE.
This is the colour people expect links to be.
What they also expect is a choice where they can see it right away so move your Categories up to the top of your Sidebar.
I also didn't see a Privacy, Disclosure or Disclaimer Forms.
You have to protect your ass Sharon so let people see them.

Thanks for checking it out. Yes I will get the home page as a static page. And a review sounds a great idea. I was going to have a Review tab but wanted to wait to get a few up however that idea for WA sounds great.
Yeah, the orange links were standard with this blog theme so I will look where I can change the color of the links.
I will get Categories sorted and the Privacy I had written out - just will find a place to put it.

Best to have a review of what you're promoting and the Landing/Static Page should only be a short description of that with a link to the Full review of what you're promoting.
As far as I know the links are orange for all the themes you have to change them yourself. You can change the links to blue when you have your articles in Edit Mode.
Just highlight the link and choose from the drop down colours.
I have my Privacy and disclosure in my footer.

I have just left there with the traffic tool I use and now moving on to Brisbane then Perth the I just follow the sun all the way to the west coast of the US and start again in New Zealand again the next morning.

Sharon, you are off to an excellent start. I did not read the content, but focused on the design and layout. I do have one comment on your article layout. Excellent! Have have broken up the text and paragraphs with subtitles and graphics.
I recommend you not have your menu displayed in alphabetical order. I would move the About Me menu title to the right end.
You have your home page set to blog posts. You may want to consider a static page. Your site is like mine; a combination of blog and pages. I elected to have a static home page with the blog list of posts in the right column.

Yes I will probably put it on a static page. After all it is targeted as an Online business opportunity so why not put even my No.1 business page up?

Sharon, you can manually reorder the menu items under Appearance > Menu
