Feeling bummed and really need some help.
Long post - sorry - but I need HELP!! Please!!!!
I'm usually the peppy one in the community - but today is a real downer for me and not very motivating - actually quite the opposite - I am on a - "what the hell am I doing - this isn't working" - mode....
So, I got this message on my profile from a member yesterday about Keywords. It really bummed me out - I was VERY cautious when writing my content and including quality keywords. I checked every one of them in the WA keyword tool to make sure they were under 100 and receiving traffic just like Kyle demonstrated in the lesson (did not use Jaaxy). Every set of keywords I used fell into that category (ranking and under a 100). Remember I was on this site for 14 hours on Saturday - doing nothing but editing!!! I want to do this RIGHT!!!!
Anyway...
I used the Keyword as the title of the page and used it no more than 3 times throughout the content on that page (trying to avoid over-saturation). I even added a few pics to "beautify the page." There were also other keywords in my content that ranked but they just simply fit the content - I wasn't really "using" them as my focus keyword for that page. I did this on each and every one of my pages that currently have content writing in them.
THEN - when I got that message yesterday he said something like "it doesn't matter how many keywords I use that if I'm not ranking it won't do me any good" - I kind of got that "well duh" moment - then it dawned on me - I NEVER actually checked in Google search to see if my site would pop up.
So, I go to Google - I typed in a few of the well ranked keywords I had chosen and - nope NOTHING - I went as deep as 3 pages in with each of my checks and my site is nowhere. NOTHING!! I'm not ranking!!! How did my one lead that contacted me even find my page - and that was BEFORE editing!!!!
What am I doing wrong?? I followed Kyle's direction - I checked EVERY singly keyword(s) before using them - I picked only the best ones (or closest to the best) - that made sense - and NOTHING!!! I don't even want to move on to course 3 at this point because I am NOT getting traffic. No traffic- no reason to move on to "making money."
What should I do?? My content is short and sweet - not dragging on and on (as advised by previous community members) it contains quality keywords (based on WA's KW tool - which I truly do trust) but I am not showing up anywhere on Google - at least not in the first 3 pages. I can't move on to "making money" when I'm not getting traffic-which is where course 3 is leading me...
So, no Peppy Shannon today - just frustrated and confused and really wanting some help. I am an excellent writer I know that about myself - my content is accurate I've done my research - my keywords should rank - and NOTHING!!!! I am frustrated and in "give up" mode. When I can't move on and get THIS stuck I just want to throw in the towel (which is not easy for me to say). I've come so far so fast and now - dead stop! Especially given what that guy told me on my profile - he's right - if I don't rank - I won't get traffic - if I don't get traffic I won't get customers - what good is 9 affiliates if I don't have traffic to get them there???
Long post - I know - and I'm sorry - but I had to share my frustration and see if ANY of you had any advice for me - I just don't want to move on until I figure this step out - Feeling frustrated and wanting to just give up right now!!! HELP!!!!!
My site is sexisland69.com - you may not like the niche - but could you guys PLEASE just look at it and see if any of you could give me some advice on what I'm doing that is so wrong????? I take criticism VERY VERY well (my professors never held back) and could use someone to be brutally honest and trash me if you need to - but PLEASE let me know what you see in what I'm doing wrong.

I'm facing many of the same problems you are. I'm wondering if switching from All In One SEO to Yoast will help. There is a tool called Wincher that you can use free for a limited time. It will tell you where you rank on specific keyword phrases without you having to do mock searches.
I actually joined Wincher - but it just kept spinning and spinning and spinning - never gave me feedback - so I closed it and gave up. I tried Yoast - but it's above my head - I'm too new at this website stuff for Yoast!!
Here is how I use Yoast on my oldest site: expunge55.com. Go into the Titles and Meta section to Posts. Accept the defaults for title templates. For the meta descriptions and keywords, use the same ones that you were using with All In One SEO. For the media and products section use something that you think makes sense or helps you get good rankings. Google sometimes uses images to generate listings. That's what this media stuff is really about.
Sorry for your troubles. Question - did you try jaazy - it looks potentially helpful, but I'm new. I came up with 15 keywords in jaazy and need to pare down the list. I did see where the keywords must match exactly in a user search. I will watch this blog to see what others say.
Hi Shannon. Wow! don't be so hard on yourself. There are many reasons you may not be on the top 10 - 20 pages of google. PM and send me the keywords you are using and the site URL and I can look on Jaxxy and give you ranking (if it's in the top 20 pages) I personally have over 18 pages on page one of google but it's not an easy thing to do. Anyway I happy to help you out (if I can) cheers :)

Don't feel bad. I haven't seen a cent yet. My websites haven't shown up closer than page 9 (pathetic). And I'm probably not half the writer you are. But you have to give it some time. I personally look at a mo/3mo/6mo/1yr. timeline. Keep doing what your passion is.. Look at the positive. You're a top 50! I'm a top 1000! (I think?!).

Ok ... don't shoot me for this but your niche' isn't well liked by Google. Yet there are tons of explicit content sites that do rank. Yeah, at one time I thought about this niche' and decided against it for several reasons. The sites that rank are owned mostly by an element I didn't want to be associated with. Think hard about who usually controls that type of operation offline - online is the same.
Thank you for that feedback - no nudity - no pornography - and all my research has been within Google and what were the most popular searches in 2015 - yup - my niche - and the graphs demonstrate nothing but increasing revenue over the last decade (exponentially). This all coming from Google data. I have done my research for almost 7 years - it's a good niche if done in a classy way. I don't think that's it, but it IS something to consider - Thank you!!
Keyword.....tons....... Island ....narrows the search giving it a false positive for SEO but no relevancy to Island.... I get the chance intent, but crawlers are bots.
You are on the web crawlers are also known as spiders and they actually crawl all over the web in search engines. They are robots

Have you set up your google webmaster and sent your sitemap to be crawled? That is probably a silly question, but thought I would ask it anyway. I too have no traffic at the moment, but I am being ranked with some of my posts.
Do not give up! Keep writing and researching and writing. It will happen for you. I get a little frustrated as well in regards to traffic, but sometimes we just have to be patient.
Again, if you haven't sent your information over to google then it will take longer for you to get ranked.

Run your post through Copscape, it may be that your post in Wa, your blog, and G+ are too similar and Google is punishing you for duplicate content. If this is the case, jerk everything down except from your site.

Okay, I took a look and this is what I did some digging to find. Btw, I'm a preacher so I get a heartfelt hug in Vegas for this.
Seems you have moderate competition in a very narrow niche due the word," Island " .
However, when testing your post h1 you are getting.... Pardon the pun.... Stiff .... Competition.
I think that while your keywords are great, people who are looking for this kind of stuff are extremely direct in their search which brings you right back full circle to a broad niche.
By your domain , your relevancy should be about island oral sex. It focuses on toys which the big boys with all the money and keyword purchase on Google are paying thousands per word while you are gathering organic.
Oh' it took me a moment to figure out how to get through that landing page. You cannot slide left on a desktop and I thought the word "menu" was a title instead of a button so I did not think at first to click it. No CTA, you need to least put it inside a button to press. Just the word....menu .... By itself looked like simple text, it's not even blue.
The three dashes accesses the menu as well but a lot of people do not know this.
I may be wrong, but newbies are going to be the ones to end up looking at your site and I am one.
I know you were asking about traffic. For that, all you need to have is a place for videos and naked celebs pics that fat chicks like. Then post one on Facebook that pushes the boundaries with a hidden link. Word of mouth will run a muck. Those people travel in packs.

Thank you SO much for the advice I will work on the few little things you mentioned - those are easy fixes - as for the naked celebs - would LOVE to add that with my newest Affiliate especially - but WA's policy is no nudity and no pornography - so my site is very LOW "R" rated
WA does not have to host this site for you to thrive in this lucrative niche. Move your DNS to SiteGround. Put in some demonstration pics and rake it in.
