Checking in with this weeks progress
Well, hello community I like to touch base at least once a week and try to inspire and encourage and update you all. Maybe not many of you care about my progress, but I do this so that newbies can see that this is REALLY a long term commitment and takes many hours of dedication and lots and lots of patience. Plus, as I read back I can see my own successes as I progress week to week - so just like I said last week - I just gotta' do it. Touching base with you all keeps me connected and I love connecting with our community.
This week was a rough one - I got my grandchildren full time on Thursday night because (yes I am getting personal) my daughter flaked out - I guess twins are a bit much for a 22yo single mother - so she threw in the towel and Grandma and Grandpa got them. Needless to say I am too old for this nonsense! No sleep is really cutting in to my WA time!!! So I didn't get as much done this week as I usually like to. Oh well, family first right?
I did achieve some levels of success this week - I got some new affiliates (all my active affiliates are on my homepage at the bottom) I want it that way so that people can link to them directly and may expand their shopping ideas beyond why they first came to my site - some of you oldies but goodies may feel like I shouldn't do this - FEEDBACK is always welcome.
I got my PH pages completely done and they are full of content and not a ton of links - so hopefully this makes both Kyle and Google happy - trying to follow Kyle's direction and trying to rank too. Link a little write a lot - hopefully I did it right!!
My other pages are either blank or a work in progress - I'm getting there - working my way left to right on my menu to perfect it section by section then I move on - geesh this is taking a long time and a TON of research (which I'm of course used to) and a TON of time and patience - this keyword thing is time consuming if used correctly!! UGH** So, newbies if you think you can do this in a month - you are a ROCKSTAR - because I put in many many hours per week at this and I am almost through my 2nd month and no where near done. It WILL be done by the end of spring break come hell or high water!!!
Lastly - I added a new addition to my site. Yes, I have an adult site - but I am trying to achieve classy and sassy - not greasy and sleezy. I very much so promote health and wellness and my library will indicate that as soon as it is done - and sex safety!! But, I added one more category that really does fit my niche in a fun way - weddings!! I am going to have a Weddings only page where I promote items from ring to honeymoon. I have affiliates for it all the way through - and I am SO excited to get it going - I started it - but it's REAL rough right now - just messing around more than really putting forth effort toward my writing skills - really too tired to write - I forgot today was even Monday - I usually do my posts on Sunday night - UGH** twins - lack of sleep!!
So in closing - I would love for you guys to take a look at my homepage and my PH pages oh and my blog (that's done too) and click around and see what you think, FEEDBACK is wanted and welcome - thrash me bash me tear me apart - but give me open honest feedback - I grow that way :)

First, let me say I understand your pain with the twins. I have them and what a time I had. Thankfully they are 26 1/2 now and taking care of their own, although I just ended a 2 year stint of "Abuela"(what my granddaughter calls me) duty. Hang in there. I checked out your site. Great job and WOW! I thought you may also want to take a look at fiera.com. They have an affiliate program. I don't know if it will me your needs, but it would fit into your website. Hi Shannon , I love reading about your progress since we nearly started at the same time . Have you used the site comment feature for feedback ? I have not used it yet but would like to know if it has worked for you .

Unfortunately no its not compatible with my theme that I chose I really wish that it was because I like having that box at the bottom but its not compatible so I have to download a plugin or a widget or something that will be compatible with my theme I've tried a couple and they didn't work out so right now I'm just letting that go and I'm still trying to finish off my content as soon as I figure out something that works I will my theme I will definitely be adding that
Looks good! I can't wait to see more on the Wedding page! I think getting into that niche is a great idea. There are always people getting married and there are so many items that can be associated with weddings. Brilliant!
We were a foster family, he is now ours! Kudos to you for being there for those little ones. They need you more than you know and them staying with family is the best. You can do it but you can also get help if you need it. Know that we are here for you!
Thank you very much for the sentiment and yes we were actually a foster family as well that's how I adopted two of my children so we have a total six I gave birth to and to that I adopted through the foster system but at age 45 I really think that we need to be done being parents and it's our turn to be grandparents instead.
The grand child thing. My wife and I raised a granddaughter for 11 years. I/WE also feel your pain. But you are right, Family is important.
As a Newbie please know that I am here for you anytime if you need any help assistance in editing or writing I'm really excellent at that kind of stuff after riding a gazillion word gazillion page a dissertation then I do feel that I have a little bit of experience in writing and editing so I am definitely here for you if you need any help with that kind of stuff when it comes to the technology and not the best but I'm pretty good at writing and editing so I'm here for you just know that and best wishes to you and your journey
Ohhhhhh am I feelin' your pain! Just had two of our grandsons for a week while there mommy was in the hospital. We are totally THRASHED!!! My heart goes out to ya'!!!
Hey Shannon! I will look at your page again later. If you have a minute please take a look at mine too. It is linked under my profile now. I don't have any affiliates linked in yet but I signed up for one yesterday that I just need to add. Then more content focusing on health vs behavior issues and adding the related products for that...then adding Amazon hopefully. All the pictures so far are my own.

Shannon, Thanks for sharing your ups and downs. Yes, we get distractions all the time. Needless to say, whatever you have planned goes totally messed up. The important thing is being able to recover from them. I just viewed your site, and I like it. The site looks very well structured and the navigation easy. Even though the WA link is very small, it still looks out of place in the site since it is not related to the content. This is also my dilemma - do you want to say something like "... this site was created using WA?" Good luck with your site and wish you success. Best regards, Fred
Those pages are still in construction. I like your suggesting though. Because I have removed it from the completed pages. Thank you!
