How Can I Lighten the Header Image?
I like my header but it is too dark and I can't find a way to lighten it up. I also tried to find a way to make the fonts on the title white so it would stand out against the dark background of the image but that isn't happening either. It only says default typography and won't let me do anything.
I am using the icyNets Simplic theme so maybe that is making the difference but I really don't want to start over with a third theme. This one gave me enough trouble and I don't want to go through all of that again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have tried to lighten up your image, but the quality is not that good, and the coast is very dark so I searched in my own stock and made you two new ones too, they are my own, so definitely not copyrighted
Loes, Do you know how I can change the dimensions?
I am in the Media-Edit Section and I keep trying to make it 1600 x 250 but it won't let me change it. I'm trying it on your Sun Coast image.
I think the WA program has cropped it, it had that dimension
Go to http://eimhier.siterubix.com/ right click on the picture and save, then you have that picture in 1600x250

Sorry Shan, I use a different theme and may not be able to help you. I do hope someone else will.
when I made changes to my theme, I googled the forums and asked questions, watched some You Tube clips about what I was looking for. It may also be worth keeping an eye on websites of colleagues here that share the same theme as you so you can find out how to improve yours.
