Hybrid
It takes a long, painful and frustrating time to perfect anything that is considered "hybrid." Just ask the horticulturalist you may know.
There is a blueberry farm across the rural road from me whose owners are horticulturalists working at Virginia Tech.
I can only imagine the long hours they put into producing their own tasty, yet more disease-resistant varieties of blueberries.
We, as consumers, only see the hybrids that turned out the way they were meant to, but it is to be believed that it took many tries to get it there.
Hybrid learning has been a thing for years, and thanks to colleges and universities adopting online classes as a regular teaching medium, elementary, middle and high school teachers have a tried and true method to go by in these very different times.
My children, for instance, are using Canvas, a LMP or Learning Management Platform born out of the innovative minds of two college graduates back in 2008.
The creators obviously recognized a chasm between the potential of the internet and its lack of meaningful integration by traditional facilities.
Now used by thousands of learning institutions around the world and by my kids, I am happy to say Canvas is a successful hybrid!

There are hybrids everywhere. Sometimes they are evident sometimes they are harder to find.
