With B2P Comments are a CHALLENGE

B2B (Business to Business marketing) is bad enough, but Business to Professional (B2P) is even a worse climb when it comes to comments. My niche has B2C posts and B2P posts, and getting comments on B2C is a breeze... But the posts directed at tech professionals (B2P) are scary to most folks commenting, so often they either get skipped or the comments are short, general and may be worthless.

I think Kyle and Carson thought about this, since the "Request Comments" process includes an opportunity for the requester and the comment-or to identify focus areas, like science or technology. That said, even when using these designations it can take a very long time to get a comment back if the post is intended for doctors, engineers or chemists, even if the technology is on a junior high school level (as mine often is).

Maybe I should just be patient, and hope that the more specialized articles do eventually get comments at WA. Another option might be an informal alliance of WA techies? There are quite a few engineers, doctors, biologists and other tech pros, and even more talented amateur scientists interested enough to wade in. Seems to me that such a group could offer powerful mutual support if they could manage to find each other here.

I'm open to any suggestions as to how that might happen, as posts like this one: https://failsafeisolation.com/...

could cause a lot of expressions like the one above if I simply unleash them on an unsuspecting WA member audience...

Your suggestions are MOST welcome...

Steve

B 2 P? That's a new one. I couldn't find it on search It must be a form of B 2 B

I think you're right - I may have coined it. Definitely more B2B than B2C... It seemed natural enough to me that I assumed it existed, if not then it is my invention - but not one likely to be blessed by the USPTO.

Now you'll eventually be ready for the heavy stuff Case studies, white papers and other forms of B2B marketing!

For sure! And a heavy linkedin presence and possibly the odd webinar now and then. I've a lot of experience selling on that level, it's the interpersonal stuff and the SEO where I'm stretching the most, and frankly - that's important whether the prospect is a truck driver or an engineer working on driver-less trucks!

I never thought that posts from the professional side could be delayed. When thinking about it, it makes since because they tend to work long hours and may be unable or too tired to respond in a decent amount of time.

In regards to the aforementioned professionals you mentioned encapsulated within WA, have you considered creating a professional group (think tank) within WA? You can then use their responses/interactions as a spring (test case) board to address your comments within your own site.

Thanks for your input Sean.
I have considered creating a group or forum of WA tech. professionals, but I've yet to get any clues as to how or if that can be done.

I'm new here. So I'm not sure exactly how this all works. Maybe you can send out a message on WA geared towards the professionals you seek prompting them to check out/critique your site. Within the message, present your email asking them to comment and then capture their emails. Send an inquiry regarding a think tank and see who wants to join.

Great idea Sean. I've wanted to do it for quite a while but WA doesn't make it easy to accomplish. For the first 3 months we are limited to one blog post per day, and other means of contacting them are not obvious beyond going one-by-one in profile messages or PMs. I've followed over 1000 so far and over 450 follow me, but I've collected only a couple of actual emails so far, and it was time consuming.
