I got my first sale for Amazon Associates! Woot! I actually had 5!
That said, it wasn't on my website, but an ebook sale I posted in a favorite Facebook group. You need three sales in the first 180 days to keep your Associates account open so I posted the ebook with my affiliate link just to be sure I got a sale. It worked!
So hopefully my Amazon Associates account is safe now with my first $0.40 I made.

So my advice to those needing those three sales is to use an affiliate link on Facebook, but don't spam. Use a relevant product, like in a book group, I posted a good sale for a well-known author to let the group know our favorite has an ebook deal, but helped myself too.
Be relevant, help people, and go for a super cheap product to get those three sales. Don't spam. You ruin your reputation when you spam and no one wants spam. :)
