Hello,
Probably, you can choose this in the options of your scheme to have the sidebar or not...
It is in the dashboard - appearance - customize
And then I suggest you go through all the options...
If you don't find it, just let me know...

Thanks, unfortunately when I remove those widgets for the side bar, it also removes them from the rest of my website

Ah, I didn't understand it was just for 1 page... There I do not know the answer, cause also in PHP files the lay-out is always for all pages at the same time...

I'm not sure about the side bar, but yes you can choose some smaller link from Amazon. There are plenty of them. Hope I helped

in the page editor, on the right hand side you should see page attributes and a box that says template in that drop down box choose full width no side bar. I hope this helps
Thanks for trying to help, but apparently my theme does not have that attribute in the template.
